I wanted to share this really great article I read in Esquire.  Though it is (of course) about women sex workers and their johns... it's important that this kind of insight, nuance, honesty is continued to be amplified so that people see the truth but also the nuance in SW.

Their can certainly be "issues" with sex workers/exploitation etc... but when you remove the religious morality, there is also so much benefit including connection/outlet/fetish/exploration/freedom.  Many healthy people (such as myself) are doing what I've been told more than once is "god's work" without trauma, drug use, desperation or whatever other narratives there are!

Love to hear what others think:

Thanks for sharing this. Although it’s about a woman and she works at a brothel, there was a lot that resonated for me here. It’s a very insightful read.

But damn, those rates they can charge! I know women sexworkers may more than their male counterparts, but wow. More power to them!

That was really interesting.  I found the story of the dad taking his son to be fascinating and sort of creepy. Reading it certainly reminded me of my one massage, which progressed from a table to a bed. It was deeply therapeutic and rejuvinating. It's a very fond memory.
