Thomas_Belgium Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Many years ago I read men have cycles. Past years I tried to figure out my cycle, for example to figure out when I could lower my daily dose tadalafil, but I couldn't find a pattern. Did you figer out your cycle?
Nue2thegame Posted March 16 Posted March 16 These are the only kinds of men’s cycles I can think of: Thomas_Belgium, + Vegas_Millennial, + claym and 1 other 2 2
mizuki777 Posted March 17 Posted March 17 I tried tracking mine for a while but it just felt random. For me, things like diet and gym schedule seem to have a much bigger impact than any internal cycle I could find. + claym and Thomas_Belgium 1 1
jeezifonly Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Wouldn't surprise me if La Luna caused perceptible shifts in male hormones. Nor would it surprise me if the shifts were perceptible only to women. Thomas_Belgium 1
mapsdr Posted March 24 Posted March 24 If cycle is referring to phases of being horny (for lack of better word) versus not, I’m curious. Some weeks it seems like it occupies my mind nearly constantly and I do something about it daily. Other weeks it’s the last thing on my mind and I wonder if I’ll ever get the urge again. Which of course I do! No rhyme or reason I can figure out but I do know these cycles each last longer than they used to.

mapsdr Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Thanks, I guess people don’t have much interest in this one way or another! I’ve just noticed longer cycles of each type (“on” and “off”) the older I get.
+ JamesB Posted March 25 Posted March 25 I don’t believe men have a hormonal cycle comparable to the female menstrual cycle. There isn’t a predictable 28-day or similar pattern in male hormones that most men experience consistently enough to track or use for adjusting something like a daily tadalafil dose. Men’s primary sex hormone, testosterone, follows a daily circadian rhythm. It typically peaks in the early morning, within a couple of hours of waking, and gradually declines throughout the day, reaching its lowest levels in the evening. Tadalafil is a PDE5 inhibitor, works by relaxing blood vessels to improve blood flow, and its effectiveness isn’t directly tied to daily or monthly testosterone fluctuations. In my own experience, fluctuations in libido tend to be more related to factors like stress levels, sleep quality and exercise rather than any kind of hormonal cycle. Nue2thegame and + claym 1 1

My cycle seems to be about three days horny, three days not horny. If I can figure out my cycle I can lower my dose tadalafil on the days when I don't feel horny.

That would explain why the only time I'm not thinking about sex is when I'm asleep!
