I saw Dolly Parton in concert only once, at the American Royal Rodeo.  It was the same year she released the album Jolene which featured two of her biggest hits, the title track and I Will Always Love You.  Whereas my parents and brother were quite ho-hum about Dolly (none of us had ever heard of her), I was blown away and instantly became a superfan.  I remain a Dolly die-hard to this day.  She is a living legend and an American treasure.  Happy birthday, Dolly!
