They should be fine even after months or years if you keep them in a glass jar in a cool place, so there's no rush to use them. I don't have any recipes but Google is your friend. Here's a start.
Bargara Leatherboy Posted Sunday at 06:35 AM Posted Sunday at 06:35 AM Beef Wellington is a good place to start. Just don't use a dehydrator ......... mike carey 1
mike carey Posted Sunday at 06:47 AM Posted Sunday at 06:47 AM And here's to you Mrs Patterson! (A dehydrator is fine, just make sure you're not filmed taking it to the dump.) Bargara Leatherboy 1
Buddy15 Posted Sunday at 12:48 PM Posted Sunday at 12:48 PM I always use a handful when making mushroom barley soup. I soak them in boiling water and then add the mushrooms and liquid.

Dried shiitakes are much stronger than fresh. I used them more as a flavoring than as an ingredient. I add a few to stocks, soups and stews if I have them around.
pubic_assistance Posted Sunday at 01:11 PM Posted Sunday at 01:11 PM Dried shitake are great for simple pasta dishes. Just reconstitute them in a little water mixed with white wine . Pan fry garlic and shallots in olive oil, add the mushrooms, then simmer, add chopped parsley or basil. Serve over pasta. + poolboy48220 and cany10011 2
