Luv2play Posted July 27 Posted July 27 CBC has reported that 6 cases in gay men have been reported in the last two weeks. One had had one vax but not the second as recommended. Just a reminder this has not gone away. Danny-Darko, josh282282, + SirBillybob and 1 other 2 1 1

Several news sites report an outbreak in Africa (Gambia & maybe some other countries), with the travel season maybe it could spread across Europe & beyond.
+ SirBillybob Posted August 3 Posted August 3 (edited) Also be alert to the fact that for every case of Mpox this year so far in Montreal there have been about 50 diagnosed cases of syphilis, and the true syphilis prevalence is under the radar. Canada-wide approximately 100 Mpox cases in 2025 to date. Edited August 3 by SirBillybob sexyfit and + Vegas_Millennial 1 1
56harrisond Posted December 9 Posted December 9 New mpox strain identified in England A new strain of mpox, previously called monkeypox, has been detected in a person in England, say UK health officials. The virus is a mix of two major types of the mpox virus, and was found in someone who recently returned from travelling in Asia. Officials say they are still assessing the significance of the new strain. The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) says it is normal for viruses to evolve. Getting vaccinated remains the best way to protect against severe disease - although an mpox infection is mild for many. The new virus strain contains elements of two mpox strains, called clade Ib and clade IIb. It currently has no name. It's unbelievable that even now the letter "m" is so offensive to some that this pox must now have no name 🤣 Thank Goodness chickens haven't had their feathers ruffled (pun intended) over a virus named after them yet. Then chicken pox becomes cpox, then eventually we can't talk about it all! Won't be able to Pick a Little Talk a Little about it.... Not even a peep! Danny-Darko 1
