This is an interesting topic. I haven't read all the replies-and probably won't just because there are so many, and I'm coming to the discussion late.
 

But when I read the title, escorts never even entered my mind. What I immediately thought of when I read 'provider' (and continued to think until I started reading the thread) were my physicians. 
 

As for asking a provider ( doctor or escort) their political leanings, I doubt I would in most cases (an exception might be if I hired the night of a big election). But if I became aware of their leanings prior to hiring, it definitely might influence me  on whether I hired them or not.

I don't ask for their political views, but I occasionally wonder into that subject in the afterglow along many other topics.

Escorts, like Grindr hookups, sometimes can't help but open their mouths about politics and kill the mood.

The worst are the wannebe SJWs who are really ignorant, and just have knee-jerk reactions to everything without any brain cells to think critically.
