Today I picked up a ticket to see this show and I’m really looking forward to seeing it. Jonathan Groff is always wonderful and I’ve actually had a few brief conversations with him in the past. Happy to report that he’s not just astoundingly talented but a super nice guy who is very charming and friendly to his fans.
If anyone has seen the show I’d like to hear your impressions. Mine will be in a couple of weeks.

I saw the workshop last Summer in a church basement, and saw an early preview. They've tweaked and tightened a lot. It's a terrific BIO musical. And I generally don't care for them. But this one is very solid, slickly done, and Jonathan Groff is so talented and natural, he's a pleasure to watch. They cover all the hits...and some of the "not-hits". LOL  Costumes and production are awesome. The Roses Dresses got applause at my performance.

What a fantastic show. Jonathan Groff delivered a truly mesmerizing performance—raw, nuanced, and magnetic from start to finish. Coming off the heels of last year’s triumph in Merrily We Roll Along, it’s remarkable to see him bring such a different kind of brilliance to the stage once again. A back-to-back Tony win wouldn’t surprise me in the least.

I have always loved the music of Bobby Darin, and Just in Time honors it with both reverence and freshness. The arrangements are lush, the storytelling personal, and the entire production just glides. This show is a love letter to Darin’s legacy—and with Groff at the center, it’s unforgettable.

Today I saw a matinee performance and I thought it was terrific. If Jonathan Groff doesn’t win a Tony for this I will really be shocked. He was astounding. His energy never dropped during almost 2 1/2 hours. He was all over the theater, easily within spitting (literally) distance from much of the audience. The entire cast was wonderful and I especially liked the 3 back up singer/dancers who had so many incredible costume changes. For those who might be unfamiliar with the Circle In The Square Theater, the seating is steeply racked and is in 3 sides with the stage area on the far end. For this show the theater is set up like a nightclub with some tables and chairs in the center. These are the expensive seats and they serve you champagne. Mostly couples sitting here.
I had a really good seat, very close to the edge of the stage where most of the action took place.
Theater tickets, as has been discussed, have become very expensive. Today I reached my limit at $251 but honestly it was worth every penny. I did notice there were standing room patrons above the last row of seats. Not sure what they cost. The show moves so quickly I don’t think standing would be too bad.

I forgot to talk about the set in my review. This is perhaps the best I have ever seen the circle in the square for a production. I’m trying to remember the ones I’ve seen there.  What they did here was amazing!!

Saw this last week.

I can't say I was a fan of Groff, either good or bad, before going into this.  He's an incredibly charming performer.

He's also the kind of entertainer that can fill an entire room being solo onstage.  He's just got 'that thing.'

The supporting actors in the show were superb.  Gracie Lawrence as Connie Francis had a jaw-dropping solo.  GREAT voice.

Always good to see Broadway vets like Michele Pawk and Emily Bergl.

An incredibly entertaining show with a set/lighting design that truly turns Circle in the Square into a beautiful Vegas showroom.

OMG, he was one of the few actor/characters who made my heart flutter while watching Glee.

They are showing a ton of commercials for this show on NYC television. That usually means ticket sales are not great. The commercials do make the show look inviting.

It's doing fine. According to the numbers posted by the Broadway League for last week, the show was at 103% capacity -- higher than even Clooney's Good Night & Good Luck and Denzel's Othello. The show's been doing a big national media push over the last week or so, so the ads might just be part of a campaign to build buzz for the show, especially among locals as we enter a summer where tourism is expected to be down.

BTW: I saw the show. Bought my ticket with very low expectations. But it's far more fun/engaging than I expected and a powerful showcase of everything that's most appealing and impressive about Jonathan Groff. He's just next level in this.

I was talking about advance ticket sales. Not sure if it's a limited run. I haven't checked the seating chart for months from now. Normally, if a show has strong sales into the future, we don't see constant commercials.

(Edit) Just checked the seating charts. Many seats still available in the month of August. The Tony Awards could change that.

Understood. Just in Time was originally (conservatively) booked as a bounded run, contingent on Groff's presence in the show. But, yes, if Groff wins the Tony (which he might), I suspect it will soon announce additional ticket blocks through the fall. (Dead Outlaw just announced sales through October and it's not selling nearly as well as Just in Time.)

I worked on a play with him just before his streaming exposure began. Got the opening night pre-show hug from him in his whiteys. He’s a truly lovely human whose talents keep astonishing me. Wish I could make it to NY to see this show!

The show is mostly sold out for months.

They just extended it to open up a new block of tickets.

I get why Groff is dreamy to many, but I've never gone for milquetoast-esque guys in my personal life.

I found plenty of seats available in July and August, but I got the seat I wanted for early Sept. Thank you. The Telecharge website is a little wonky, but I finally got it to work. Their pop-up window said they were doing maintenance. Very frustrating when you're trying to get a specific seat. Also, Telecharge does not show Sections A, B, C, D. I found a map on Reddit that did.

Glee certainly presented him as dreamy, and I guess in a High School singing club setting he was. He certainly would have been a stand-out in my high school, based on younger looks alone. He's not typical fashion model handsome either, but he's got cute, sexy, boy-next-door appeal. It's his obvious charm and talent, plus the playful sex-appeal in his eyes that gets me. I don't know about real life, but as a performer, he has a ton of x-factor. Milquetoast means timid, meek, bland, insipid, etc. I don't see much of that in Jonathan. I see a wholesome, kind, gay guy who has tremendous stage talent, a strong presence, and handsome enough to attract many horny men and women.
