.Macho and morbid, I love sex

Is what he states in his profile. First time I see that in a profile.  Does he even know what it means?

The word has come up here frequently. It's a direct substitution of the English word 'morbid' for the Spanish word mórbido. The Spanish word has more meanings than its English twin and some of them are, shall we say, less 'morbid' than the English word.

I don't speak Spanish and don't recall what it means, particularly in context, I just recall some of the conversation here. Just now, from my attempts at googling it, the Spanish word mórbido does have the English meaning, but it also has a meaning of soft or delicate. I think last time it came up there was some talk of it having slang or informal meanings as well. I seem to remember that @José Soplanucas was one of those who commented (I could be wrong). He is an Argentine native speaker, so he may also have commented on regional differences in the meaning of the word.

I'm going to ask a Latin escort I know from El Salvador ... I'll report back!

The best translation for "morbo" from the ads is "kink", and for "morboso", "kinky". There is a thread somewhere discussing this.

like the frequent use of "special moments" in the profile text of some Latin providers, I assume "morbid" will continue to appear as long as Google Translate is around

Jose is right. In Argentina, “macho morboso” is slang for macho into kinky sex, willing to try and explore unusual, transgressive sexual desires.  Sometimes they just mean “very sexual macho” or even “addicted to sex” in my experience. You see “macho morboso” a lot in escort ads in Argentina, also on dating apps as a way to brag about their sexual prowess and/or promiscuity. I guess Angel just went for a literal but naive translation, turning “macho morboso” into “macho and morbid.” That also explains why he followed it up with “I love sex “ which is most likely what he means by “morbid “ 😁

“Morbo” is also used to say you find someone sexy, very attractive/hot, or that the person has strong sex appeal, especially in Spain. For example,“Ese macho me da morbo” means “that stud turns me on.”
