I don’t really pay much attention to reviews on the site. It’s useful for price paid but that’s about it. This forum is invaluable though.

But if the reviews are made up, so can the dollar amounts, suggesting inflated amounts to indicate what tips people are "typically" being paid.

Pretty much anything in the ad: pics, stats, service descriptions, health status, and more. That’s why a place like COM is so useful.

Regarding reviews, I tend to pay attention to reviews (before finding out that they can buy fake ones) only there are several and I start seeing a theme. That gives me a better sense of what to expect. I, of course, ignore reviews that have nothing to do with the masseur or the experience ("Didn't like it because it was raining that day and I hate rain").

Now I'm not sure about this. Fake reviews are not a new thing, so I guess that if they sell is because they are effective.

I consider age part of the stats, but you’re absolutely right, most providers do lie about their age.

The most useful thing to me in a review is when the client waxes poetic about how great the parking is 😂.
