foxy Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 Seeing the Rockettes is always great fun every year. Plus a nativity with live camels. A highlight for me when I was a kid. The theater is an art deco masterpiece. + ApexNomad, thomas, + Vegas_Millennial and 3 others 3 1 2
+ BenjaminNicholas Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 RCMH is beautiful. Always a lot of fun seeing it. But the audiences at the Rockette shows... Not so much fun. Between people talking, children yelling and people eating, it's like being at a flea market. BSR, thomas and + ApexNomad 1 2
+ Vegas_Millennial Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 (edited) I saw the Christmas Spectacular a few weeks ago when I was in town. It was the highlight of my trip, outside of my bedroom 😉. I had premium seats in center front orchestra, so that helped mitigate the issue of talking throughout the show (a higher class of people who are more likely to know theater etiquette). I did, ONCE, say "No Cell Phones" as soon as the person in front of my pulled out their phone to try to take a picture during the performance. She heard me and never pulled out her phone again. People don't realize how distracting and inconsiderate it is to others to have their phone's bright screen on in the theater. Edited December 18, 2024 by Vegas_Millennial Marc in Calif 1
jeezifonly Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 Having worked in theme park entertainment, my far end front row seat took me back to seeing the performers as real well-trained people in the job of doing multiple shows a day. I compare it not with Broadway but with Vegas. Spectacular is the most accurate description. And there will never be a venue in Vegas as beautiful as the Hall. I’ll definitely go again some day! With YT, I can learn the entire 12Days tap choreography ahead so I can give notes at the stage door. 😂 + ApexNomad 1
Merboy Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Seeing them do that famous chorus line with the kicking never gets old! So talented! + Vegas_Millennial 1
