There's a bodybuilding competition that I plan to go to soon and with the amount of muscle there will definitely be some guys down to make some extra $$$ to show off. How can I tell which guys are available to do anything on the side? That includes but not limited to: photoshoots, live flex shows, muscle worshipping, etc. Note: I'm not asking to do all of these. Would love to get some insight and I definitely know some of you may have done this already. PM if you not comfortable sharing your secrets with everyone

Just something to keep in mind... if you are referring to trying to land a competitor, just remember that you're going to be dealing with a potentially very hungry, irritable, and dehydrated individual...

Of course, making money,  extra money is splendid, but a lot of times those guys are so focused on one thing and one thing only.
Even guys like Jimmy Z and Rob Taylor ( muscleworship.com ) RIP 😇 were often met with "resistance" for just attempting to photograph and video competitors ( sometimes not even requiring nudity )  I think most of their success with finding "talent" was often pre arranged as opposed to tapping a competitor on the shoulder.  Not to say it's impossible but definitely things to consider.

How would I pre-arrange and set an appointment with the potential ones that are interested? Any advice? I was thinking since they are so focused on the bodybuilding competition, they wouldn't mind the photography since they are so focused on the bodybuilding aspects. Have you done this before?

Wait until after the competition. Shortlist your favourites and search for their placements and socials. With so many categories, yet only the one 1st in each, chances are your shortlist will be comprised of mainly 2nd place or lower. DM “You were obviously robbed and I’m available if you want to take it out on someone and also walk away with full coverage for supplements on your next cycle, and more. So far I found three competitors who are competing tomorrow and unsure about two additional competitors. They barely use social media. I just don't get. The other bodybuilding shows (that I never went to) has tons of guys on social media counting down the day to the competition and sharing their experiences on Instagram or YouTube down to when they check in at the venue to when they get a tan and what meal they're eating. I'm so pissed I can hardly find anything. I waited so long for this. Don't these guys want sponsors and more views/likes?? Why wouldn't they share more about the competition?

You??? lol 😂 Those guys have been waiting probably 10-16 weeks for their day on stage. Also consider the possibility that the entire line up has zero interest in what you seek...  you're completely speculating that 1.  they're willing and 2. that they really want a sponsor that comes with a price or a trade. In todays world many bodybuilders have found alternative ways to monetize the fruits of their labor...  Time is on your side... you can look  and find clever ways to find out who needs "gas money" 💰 🤞🏽

@Vin Marco Thank you for your insight and comments! You've explained a lot I was struggling to understand! Like @Anthony, I followed the same reasoning never understanding why it never worked for me! Now I realize there are so many factors I wasn't aware of. Now I have a clearer understanding but now it's even more frustrating knowing I'll probably never really have a chance at what I'd really like to have. Thank again for clarifying how things work in that world!

@Danny-Darko Me and a very well known retired pal would sometimes ask one another if so and so ( bodybuilders ) saw guys ... if the answer was no, we would jokingly say "he would if he knew what was good for him"  😜

Don't give up.. it's worth the wait for when that symbiotic connection is made! 🤞🏽
