I think that ALL ads should make clear if the provider can host or not, and that info should be updated often, especially for travelers.  In NYC, where I live, I will only see providers who are hosting, but I assume most providers cannot host because it seems everybody under the age of 30 or 35 lives with roommates in an inconvenient part of the city.  (Yes, I know I can hire older providers, but that's not my thing.)  This means that I'm reaching out constantly to providers whose ads don't specify if they can host, and I'm sure I'm not the only client doing that.  Putting that info in the ad would save both the client and the provider a lot of unproductive communication.

Yes!!  I am also in NYC and whether or not I am able to see a provider depends completely on his ability to host and his location- I wish more providers’ ads stated outright if they can host and (if so) at least a general neighborhood.

I've always had them come to my hotel until a few weeks back.  It was like a big adventure for me lol.  It somehow felt like an adventure to take an Uber to a strangers hotel room.  So sorted and mysterious.
