The iconic singer, actor and activist who broke through racial barriers has died at the age of 96.  He died today of congestive heart failure at his New York apartment.  RIP...

Harry was an interesting character. I know his ex wife, Julie through a good friend of mine, so I've heard many fascinating stories.

Such an incredible life they lived.

You can't mourn too deeply over a life both;  well lived and long lived. You can only feel sad for your own loss.

Rest in Peace.

I don't think you need to BE a dolphin to be concerned about dolphins. "Black" is an identity and a community as much as it is a description of one's skin tone. Anyone from any ancestry doesn't need to be "pure-blood" to feel connections to their heritage.

Sure. But in his case he looked ambiguos enough to be seen as just biracial (this at least in Europa of course). I consider the one drop rule racist. But that's another topic.
