Dallas vs Atlanta vs Boston

Which one in your opinion is the best and most beautiful city?

I feel like Dallas has a more segregated and classist vibe compared to Atlanta. Boston in the other hand has one that for some reason I can't pin point. I think I associate more the latter with New York or D. C. and it has nothing to do with its location. Also, I think Atlanta's skyline is better than Dallas. Boston's skyline reminds me of Austin's but with a larger downtown and older buildings.

In terms of just overall beauty… I love Boston. In fact, I took a picture there last year while on a sail boat cruise that I ended up making my phone’s Lock Screen image.

In addition, walking along the Charles River is so pretty…image.jpeg

The fall colors there can also be pretty vibrant…image.png

Now… Boston’s gay scene has much to be desired. It’s hard to believe that there is so little in a city that size!  Atlanta has a MUCH better gay nightlife.  Don’t get me wrong… Atlanta has an amazing skyline but there seems to be much more scenic views in Boston for me.

Well, "best" depends on what you're seeking, but I think there's little doubt but that Boston is the most beautiful of the three. And Provincetown is loads of fun.

No wonder why Boston is so expensive while the other two are relatively cheap.

San Diego, Boston, D. C., San Francisco, Denver and Seattle are my favorite American cities. All of them are expensive according to people.

I live in DC metro area and the company I work for is HQ'ed in Cambridge (Boston).  I'm up there and NYC frequently!  I can vouch for it being expensive.

But I could never live in Boston year round.  I'm a wuss when it comes to the cold.  So I can't handle Boston winters... I would have to be a snow bird!

I like Dallas the best, for these reasons:

1. It's nickname is "Big D".  I'm always a fan of a Big D.

2.  The Tin Room, and soon to be arriving Johnson's, are nice attractions that you just can't find in Boston.  Atlanta has BJ Roosters, but I like the Tin Room a little more.

3.  I'm a sucker for a good piece of meat.  The steaks in Texas are the best I've ever had.  It's so fresh, it's as though they slaughter the meat directly in the steakhouse kitchen.  And this is true for even the cheaper cuts of steak used in TexMex food such as fajitas.

Don't let the grapevines in the background confuse you. The setting of this musical is the Napa Valley. It's the charming story of an older vineyard owner who kind of gets a "seeking arrangements" partner--maybe catfishing her a bit.

I’m actually considering relocating to Dallas or Atlanta. Dallas I believe has a cheaper cost of living, but Atlanta is much closer to where I live in the southeast. I love Latino men, and I think Dallas has more of them compared to Atlanta. Does anyone know how the gay lifestyle compares to Dallas and Atlanta? I think Atlanta is gayer overall per capita.

I lived in Dallas for 39 years.  Absolutely the most abysmal place I’ve ever lived in.  If not for a high paying job I would have left years ago.  I finally escaped that hell hole of a city 3 years ago.  Good riddance!

Yikes…I know that feeling. We’re you in Dallas proper or one of the many surrounding suburbs?

I used to live in DFW however, it gets worse lol. As you get further into the Midwest, it can get pretty dismal. However things tend to liven up a bit in the Spring and Summer, but it’s still 4-5 months of nothing going on. Compared to where I stay now, Dallas seems like a bustling megapolis lol.

They’re all expensive, however Denver wasn’t on that category up until the past decade. It used to be cheap and affordable before the marijuana boom. Now it’s just an overpriced city and the eagerly generous clients have been replaced by cheap stoners who don’t want to pay. And everybody trying to be escorts. Once in awhile a good client can be had…but for the most part, it’s a mess.

I’m glad to say: I will no longer need to make any trips to Denver. I let go a property I had been holding onto there, and have no desire to return. My last visit: I stayed for 24 hours and was gone by 4 p.m.

Wish I could say the same about Kansas City and all of Missouri because I’m tired of this shit too lol. Told myself I wish I could have just stayed in San Diego but, I didn’t have the means for a longer term stay. Plus business there wasn’t necessarily consistent, however I enjoyed the opportunity.

Don’t move to a place based on having lots of “your type” of man. In my experience that doesn’t always equate to actually finding one that suits you. And if you aren’t Latino: you might even be left out the “clique” Hell, when I was in San Diego…all of my clients were White or transplants from Europe. I even was staying minutes from the border and didn’t meet any serious Latino guys. Meanwhile in Nashville, I met a guy at a bar who was Mexican 😆

As for Atlanta, it’s definitely a “Mecca” but moreso a gay Black Mecca. Saying a person would be “competing” would be an understatement. At the same time it’s also a growing hot spot for White and Latinos as well, but my observation was people tend to also segregate. I’ve been to Washington DC and it’s similar in a way.

As for who’s gayer than the other: Definitely Atlanta. This is also why it’s good for people to get back on Adam4Adam (mainly because I want to get more clients from it since RM and RMass aren’t familiar in smaller towns)

Looks like Atlanta is gayer by about 9 guys lol.

That said: both cities are located in very conservative, racist, and crime prevalent areas. Sometimes the bigger cities isn’t the best choice. If you’re going to consider Dallas, consider Kansas City. Or Albuquerque. There’s Latino men in both areas. Hell I just met a guy with Iranian background the other day. I thought he was Latino until he told me lol.

Boston is a great city for so many reasons:  history, architecture, culture, European charm, great seafood, great sports town.   But you hit on the 2 cons:  it's expensive, and the weather SUCKS!!  Winter lasts forever, spring lasts ~48 hours, and summer humidity is unbearable.  The 8 beautiful weeks of fall don't make up for the other 44 weeks of suckitude.

If you make a good salary or at least are good at managing your money, the high cost of living is tolerable.  But the weather, ugh, no thanks.

That said, a night at Fenway Park, once summer stickiness gives way to cooler fall temps, is heaven on earth.
