+ BenjaminNicholas
After watching every available episode of this show, I feel like @purplekowand I could have had a ton of fun writing for it. Filmed in nearly an identical format to the old Columbo series, this accidental detective-murder solving series stars a very charming Natasha Lyonne and a massive roster of guest stars in each 26 minute episode. Literally, it's insane how many great actors show up in this. From the music to the titles to the editing, the show just feels vintage. It's a loving wink, for sure. Not campy. Just comfortably lived-in. This is the creation of Rian Johnson, otherwise known as the writer/director of almost everything now. leeper
I agree - it's a very enjoyable show and Natasha Lyonne is great as Charlie. If you liked her in Russian Doll, you should like this. As mentioned, it's like Columbo in format perhaps with a touch of The Fugitive and Murder She Wrote. The episodes I watched, however, ranged from 48 minutes to an hour long. + jeezopete
I loved the way each episode's story was introduced, and I totally enjoyed Natasha Lyonne's performance throughout. I haven't seen her in much, but this role was tailor-made for her.

Rod Hagen
My favorite line was when someone calls her a Fucking Millenial, and she punches back, "I'm a cusper" And she is, I think the actress was born in 1979 or 81. + BenjaminNicholas and SirBillybob
StefonNYC
It took me a while to watch this finally, but my god was in blown away by the writing and acting in this show. And a majority of filming actually took place near my hometown (Mid Hudson Valley), so it was nice to see some familiar places while watching. I think what made me laugh the most was seeing that they used Mohegan Sun as the casino in the final episode. Recognized it instantly lol
Ali Gator
After hearing so much about this show, I started watching this in March - April. It was my intro to Natasha Lyonne, and I fell in love with her - what a talented actress ! I wonder if this show will pick up any Emmy Awards ? Does anyone know if any of the eps were nominated in any category ?

Ali Gator
Thank you for the quick response! Lyonne and Judith Light (for her appearance) - definitely Emmy-winning worthy.
+ jeezopete
Speaking to Deadline about the Emmy nomination, Lyonne admitted that her mind is occupied with other things, including dual Hollywood union strikes, so she hasn't spent all that much time preparing for a possible awards acceptance yet. There are, however, two key elements of the eventual Emmys night on her mind. For one thing, she's been trying to convince Poker Face creator Rian Johnson to let her borrow his wife, film historian and podcast host Karina Longworth, to be her date for the evening. For another, she's been looking back on the kinds of awards show speeches delivered by Columbo star Peter Falk, in the hope that she can just recite on of his if she wins. “Just in case I happen to make it up there, I can do a word-for-word [reenactment] talking about my long day making it through LaGuardia,” she said. Rod Hagen
Good, but I wish it were better. Many eps felt thin and stretched. I loved the one w/the two murderer Hippie Lesbians, good actresses as well. Also, the Joseph G. Lev. ep was quite well done.
