Hey guys

I have to go to Newark on business within the next month.

The company has arranged for me to stay at the Airport Marriott. Their site says they are 15 minutes from downtown manaattan. But, when I asked a popular escort if we could meet, he told me there is nothing fifteen minutes from downtown... and respectfully told me to fluff off.

Apparently, they say it is 15 minutes through some tunnel, and I would be most happy to cover the cab fare... So, is the info I got wrong, and how should I handle this.... I really want to be fair.

All advice is truly appreciated....

there are so many hot guys there....

I have never personally traveled to Newark myself, but I think it may take a little longer than 15 minutes. But I'm sure it's under a half hour. I do know that cab rides to get there are quite spendy though. I would still consider a destination that most Manhattan escorts would be willing to go to (myself included) though, but with the understanding of cab rides being added to the rate.

It depends on the time of day.

At rush hour, it could easily take an hour to get from Newark to Manhattan or vice versa. Late at night, it would take something considerably less than that. But fifteen minutes seems to me to be rather less than the time required even without much traffic. I'd budget a half hour if I were doing it late at night.

It's only ten or eleven miles between them, but it can really take a long time getting through the tunnel, especially going into Manhattan.

I would think that most Manhattan-based escorts would pass on traveling to Newark. However, depending on what type of guy you're looking for, there are some really very good NJ-based escorts. You might have more luck with them.

For an escort to come over to the Newark Airport Marriott from midtown for a 1 hour appointment he would need to devote approximately 2 1/2(3 hours on a bad day) hours of his time and approximately $100 cab fare. And if he lives uptown, downtown or on the east side you can probably add some more time and $ too.

I "thought" there was a subway line or train that ran between Penn Station (Madison Square Garden) and the Newark Airport. That would certainly be an inexpensive and swift method for traveling to Newark.

I agree with others that a cab ride or driving is NOT practical.

You can easily get from EWR (Newark Apt) to Manhattan by New Jersey Transit ( http://www.njtransit.com ). The trip is about 22 minutes from the airport to Penn Station (8th ave and 34th St)

There is also bus service that operates every 15minutes from EWR to Penn Station, and the Port Auth Bus Terminal (8th and 42nd)

Visit an escort in NYC and take in a show afterwards (or beforehand)

It takes forever to get from Newark to Manhattan (personally it took me 70 minutes cab ride on a weekday). Since then I avoid flying in through Newark.

This has been said it didn’t bother me to travel to Jersey City on several occasions. Once I took the PATH train from the Penn Station to visit a regular poster of this site at his New Jersey hotel. Another time I took a cab from Times Square to visit a client just across the tunnel. The cab charged just $45 for 2 or 3 miles. :o

>Enuff! LOL :+

you suck JT...thats what I was gonna say !!!

Mapquest or some other shit probably lists it as 15 minutes, but they never take in to account traffic and there is plenty of it in the Tunnel

and on 87...fucken nightmare when I used to drive from SI to Westchester every day

Thanks Guys, especially for the humor!!!

Moral of this story is, for me:

Stay in Newark for work, get a room in Manhattan for the weekend!

One of you asked what type of guys I like: twinks and college types, especially bottoms, but can have fun with another top from those categories.... So, if you can recommend some guys for the work nights in Newark, that would be great. But, it will be NYC for fun over the weekend.

Thanks to all of you!

Alejandro Vega is a great bottom that I saw on a trip to NYC. He's definately someone I think you'd enjoy.

I also have a recommendation for a NYC hotel - The Ramada New Yorker.

http://www.newyorkerhotel.com/

It's not the most popular place to stay but I found it comfortable and affordable. Rooms are small and the bathroom reminds me of something from the 1940's.

But I like its close location to Penn Station and it's right on a subway stop also. Easy access to Times Square, the Village, or other fun spots. Also never had problems with escorts going directly to the room. I was lucky enough to have a corner room above the 30th floor with a fantastic view of the city.

Enjoy and be sure to post all the dirty details of your trip. }(

Guest Conway

Happyguy, here are a couple of recommendations for you. I stay regularly at the Carlton Hotel on the east side. You can reserve online@ http://www.carltonhotelny.com. The rooms are small. But, they're well appointed with great feather beds that you can sink into with some hunky young twink. The baths are all marble. Two weeks ago, I paid $189 a night for a very comfortable superior room. The hotel is just a few blocks north oof Union Square which has great restaurants and eye candy of the male variety..

As for your twink, I give the highest Conway thumbs up to Justin West. he's in his mid to late 20s, has a smoking smooth muscular body of a high school athlete, and was totally focused on me and me alone during our session. Hope he's not too old for you.

Here's his link for Men4Rentnow:

New Jersey Transit and Amtrak run trains from Pennsylvania Station in Mahhattan to Newark Liberty Airport. Then the escort has to get to your hotel. Most of them will not bother to make the trip. A taxi ride from Manhattan, New York to Newark, New Jersey, is an out of state trip. The driver has the legal right to charge you double the meter fare. There is also car service from N.Y.C. to Newark, they charge a flat rate. Carmel Car Service has about the lowest rates. They have a web site with prices from Manhattan to all three airports. The car service picks you up at your front door. Listed in the Yellow Pages under Limousine.

I agree about the New Yorker hotel. I stayed there 3 nights with different escorts each night and had no problems whatsoever. The staff were very nice about providing extra towels and cleaning up an extremely messy (LOL) room without comments. I left a big tip!

I liked the location as it was an easy walk down 8th Av to Chelsea bars and restaurants. My room provided a breathtaking view of the city, it was great (admittedly small) but very intimate and nice.
