Denomination Preference?

In the thread on counting money, someone mentioned he leaves $100 bills fanned out. That got me to thinking: What denomination of bills do you most prefer? Are Benjamins OK? Does Grant work better? Or do you prefer a stack of Jacksons?

I know money is money, but I am curious if there's a preference.

>What are S&H green stamps?

Lordy, does that question make me feel old! LOL

S&H Green Stamps were one of the earliest "customer rewards" programs. Housewives would receive a certain number of stamps (based on $) with every purchase at, f'rexample, the grocery store. (And some stores gave out Yellow Stamps -- their competitor -- instead.) It was much like today's coupons for merchandise that competes with what you just bought but less scientific.

Dutiful housewives, or their children <----, would paste the stamps into the requisite collection books which could then be redeemed at the Green Stamps store. I vaguely remember an expensive steam iron my mom wanted that could be had for just 2.5 books of stamps.

Long, long, long before frequent flier miles there were S&H Green Stamps.

Oh now I remember something like that when I was a wee tyke. I don't remember the free gifts but the one grocery store that did it in my area I believe gave discounts on groceries after having X number of stamps. God that was over 20 years ago :O Now I have to run to the bathroom to check for more grey hairs!

Hugs,

Greg

I roll 'em up (maximum denomination for the amt-easier to count) when I have the opportunity - 2 crisp Franklins is the preferred LA way-to-pay (for the pros that is). But right now I'm on a subscription plan so I eBillPay checks instead (to car finance companies on behalf of the owner)... not as elegant, but much less expensive in the long run.. ;-)

I prefer to be paid in 20s. 50s are OK, but I really hate 100s. Given that I may not wish to have that money traceable, and that so many places cannot break a 100 - which is therefore less spendable, unless of course I put it in my checking account first, which is of course traceable, or at least it means the extra time of a trip to a bank, and then what about the nice tellers who recognize me alredy anyway because of our many checks, so I have to go further afield to a bank where I am relatively unknown. Yes, that was a run on sentence. Thank you James Joyce. But still, please avoid 100s when coming by my place, if you can.

I suspect that the escort and the client may have different preferences here. As a client, I prefer to use large bills, simply because they are easier to count and handle, particularly if one is travelling and spending a lot. On the other hand, I imagine that escorts would prefer smaller denominations, because they are easier to spend.

It sounds like i'm in the minority, but I actually prefer receiving large bills from clients. It's easier to count discreetly. You don't have to carry around a huge wad of bills. It just seems more convenient.

As far as large bills being harder to spend? Well, maybe you boys shouldn't be spending your money as soon as you get it. ;-) When I go make a deposit it's much nicer to hand the teller a stack of 10 hundreds than 50 twenties.

And "traceable" is a problem because ____ ?

I can think of a possible answer, but I'm interested

to know what your thoughts are rather than assuming.
