I have a question for those in the escort business...what is your lube of choice? I usually purchase this in small amounts in case it burns me or I don't like the small, texture, etc. But as I don't use it as often as I would like...well, I digress...anyway...since you need to know the top of the line items, what do you suggest?

Also, what is your condom of choice? Most reliable, fits best, feels the best...you understand.

Many thanks & HAPPY EASTER!!

It depends partly on the use. I use a number of things on asses, but for beating someone or myself off, I prefer Men's Cream. It doesn't agree with condoms, but it loves cockskin. And, when you're through, it's all turned into lanolin, just like handcream.

I think we covered this topic not too long ago, but since lube is one of my fetishes, let's refresh~

For lube wrestling, body contact or when i know i may be covered from head-to-toe by the end of a session, i try to stick with a waterbased lube (sans Nonoxydol-9) like Wet Light or the new Eros Water, both of which easily clean up and remain NON-sticky. For those Costco-conscious shoppers out there, Wet Light sells pretty cheaply in a convienient pump 'orgy size' bottle.

On the issue of Nonoxydol-9, it's best to STAY AWAY from any lube with this as it's included ingredient. It's been recently found to actually cause anal irritation, thus making any transfer of STD's easier. This rule should also apply to condoms. If i happen to be using condoms that have Nonoxydol-9 already applied, i simply use a little water, silicone or oil-based (if it's a polyurethane condom of course) lube to 'wash' it off and then jump into things.

For fingering, anal, j/o and heavier play, i tend to go with silicone or oil-based lubes. They last longer, lubricate better and can take a licking and keep on ticking (literally). Elbow Grease, Eros, Vaseline, Crisco, ID-Cream (j/o formula), among others have been really pleasurable for me in the bedroom. Cleanup might not always be easy, but it gives you a chance to have someone else jump in the shower with you and help scrub it all off

*grin*

I'm aware that Wet Platinum has it's own afterwash, but since trying Eros, i'm not much of a Wet user anymore. Added, the Wet afterwash can be used for just about any silicone-based lube.

Just keep in mind that when using oil-based lubes during anal play, you MUST use a polyurethane condom (ie, Avanti, Trojan Supra). Latex will breakdown when throwing oil into the mix, so make sure to spring the extra cash and buy the poly condoms. On the plus side, they transmit bodyheat better and are 10x as stong as latex...

The lubes i don't recommend? KY Jelly (gets too goopy and messes with sensation), Frixxion (dried out my dick, not cool), Baby Oil (smells like a baby's ass and provides minimal lubrication), Trojan-brand lubes (They're really made for vaginal sex) and flavored lubes (if i wanted to suck dick and taste kiwi, i'd blow the Kool-Aid Man). I've also tried the Pheremone lube that Wet puts out (in the green bottle): It was alright, but didn't add anything extra to the mix...

Well, now that i've given a whole lecture on the merits & evils of lube, go forth and fornicate. *grin* If you need any weblinks to find any of the aformentioned lubes at a good price, privately email me and we'll chat.

Warmest Always,

Benjamin has covered the topic of lubes very well, and his admonition about using the right condom (latex vs. poly) is bang on.

Beyond that, the topic of "best condom" is HIGHLY subjective. What works best for you may not work for someone else. Many factors go into this: size, sensitivity, sensibility, etc. If the condom is too small, it can be a painful (and erection-killing) experience just putting it on. I'm on the large size, so if you're not you probably won't feel comfortable in the Magnums I prefer. Likewise, you may find a perfect fit that someone else simply can't get into, or can't keep on. Condoms should never be so large that they slip off.

I've also been with bottoms over the years who had their own favorite brands across the size spectrum. I use what they ask me to use. As Benjamin said, some of the pre-lubed condoms can irritate. Sex isn't about irritating (unless you want it to be }( but that should be decided in advance).

Your best bet for finding the right "fit" is to try a bunch of 'em. Use them for jerking off and find out which brands go on relatively easy, stay in place, and don't irritate you.

Two small disagreements with Benjamin - Myself, I like the flavored condoms, especially mint. And, as I said before, it depends on the use you're going to put them to. For an erotic massage, where there will be little or no anal penetration, baby oil is a good choice. I prefer it to coconut oil, but only because I understand that it doesn't stain your sheets as easily. (Oil stains also show less on patterned sheets than solids.) Johnson's baby oil has less baby scent than house brands and this can be masked even further, should you want, by adding just a touch of your favorite essential oil or even cologne. (Or even some interesting kinds of food extracts. Almond has a rich scent which goes with most anything, for example.) And baby oil can be heated easily. I'm not saying that ass lubes can't be, but I've never heard anyone mention doing it.

I don't know what it is but for masterbation there are a few different lubes that basically made me go limp, I couldn't feel anything almost as if they had novacaine in them. I wish I knew which one they were.. Has anyone ever heard of that or had that happen.

  • 13 years later...
I met with a provider who used Coconut Oil, said b/c it's natural the body absorbs and responds to it better, once warmed up has the consistency of Vaseline.....worked well for that one session, have not seen or used it since (top here).

I must try that. I love vaseline except for the cleanup so something similar I must try.

I like KY for masturbating. I guess because you can spit and re-lube. Of course, you can also use a silicone based lube for self pleasure and I have been using Pjur. Has been working out fine. If anyone has complaints about it would love to hear them because I would certainly try something else. I do have a question tho. For fun and also to stretch if I expect to bottom (don't do it often and want to give a partner some help beforehand) I use "classic silicone" butt plugs of various sizes. I depends on the other guy. :) At any rate, I get really irritated during the play part. I also use lube obviously. If I use a condom with the plug I'm fine. I am trying to figure out if it is the silicone that it is made of or something else. Anyone also have this problem?
