Where are the best places to find working boys in Amsterdam? Have any brothels survived the pandemic or is there a preferred website for the Netherlands? Returning to Amsterdam for the first time in several years, thanks in advance!

I was there 2 weekends ago as I went to see the Vermeer exhibit. Mixing in the culture with the tawdry, I decided to stop by Boys Club 21. In it's previous incarnation, they had a fine stable of guys working there and onsite. Had an intense hookup with a Ricky Martin look a like - believe it was 50 guilders (yeah, 20 plus years ago). 

This time, on a Saturday, there were 3 guys. Nice and friendly - however, only one Marcello - nice Italian guy with dark hair and a slim waist showing off his bubble butt, was someone who I would have loved to connect with (I didn't as I was just stopping by on my way to meet friends for dinner).  Prices are 250 euros for an hour (including the room rental). For that price, you can certainly hire off planetromeo for similar  or less, which is what I decided to do.

i was at that place about 10 years ago? (i thought it was called BlueBoy?) and was also unimpressed with the stable of mares. there was one outstanding strapping Swiss country guy who left with me and spent a few days for little money and I had a feeling he loathed working there too.  when i was young and lived there Amsterdam was the city of hot gay sex 24/7. now it's Jersey City (no offense to JC). even online it's mundane to boring.

Agree. There were only a handful of doable guys. I met 2 of them from planetromeo. Very nice. One wonders why a club would host guys (unless they did not have access to posting an online ad). As for JC comment, I think it's a great area as I have 2 good friends that made a killing in real estate there.

I will be visiting Amsterdam next month.  Thermos is closed apparently so plan to check out sauna Nieuwezijds 

Any recommendations on where to stay and hang out with 'locals' . Also appreciate pointers to a good 'coffee' shop since that is one item on the bucket list and am a total novice in that respect.

Pity that the Red and purple light areas do not cater to our needs.

I went to BoysClub 21 twice and had a good time.  Drinks are expensive, so I made it a point to pre-drink at one of the many nearby gay bars before visiting BoysClub 21.

An escort and room costs $240 Euro.  Limited escorts available and always changing. If you're there for a week, you can ask the owner what day a particular man works and he'll arrange that.

Look at planet romeo.  A few beddable guys there. I met a few from there in May (not sure if they are advertising), but does not hurt to make some preliminary inquiries....

It's good to hear 220 Euros/hr in 2024.  In 2023 I paid 240 Euros/hr.  I will be back in Amsterdam for a weekend in October this year, and most certainly will check out Boysclub 21 each night (my hotel is in the building adjacent to Boysclub 21).

It seems some variation or renaming of the old BlueBoy Club/ Why Not Bar has been around a long time. Small townhouse upstairs setup with only 2 or 3 guys the best of whom are "ok"...maybe. I wonder if it's the same building constantly renamed.

I took a trip trip to Boysclub21 in Amsterdam last week, on a Sunday night. I wasn’t really in the mood that evening, to be honest, but I decided to visit anyway to have a look at the place.

When I arrived, I was greeted by a guy at the door, who welcomed me and led me to a seat. He was was Colombian I think, but not exactly the type guy I wanted, and I was bit concerned I might get stuck with him. However, he quickly told me that he would describe the other guys to me, and suggested I could ask one of them for a drink, instead, if I wanted. I appreciated the attitude.

He pointed out the other guys who were working there. I think there were four guys working that night, as well as the guy who I met at the door there was a Bulgarian and a Portuguese guy and another guy from somewhere in South America, I think.

I said I would like to chat to the Bulgarian guy, and so he came down and I bought him a drink. He told me he had moved to the Netherlands mainly to escape the homophobia in Bulgaria. He was about 30 and very pleasant looking, but not a stunner. 

We ended up chatting for 20 minutes. He travels to Thailand quite frequently with friends, and he told me he liked Pattaya and Jomtien in particular. His favourite bar is Question mark bar. He knew several of the staff in Jomtien bars by name and was disappointed that I couldn’t really remember any of the names of people in the bars, despite being there earlier this year. 

He was also complaining about the Russians in Thailand, he is not really a fan of them.

I asked him if there are any Dutch guys working in the bar at all, and he said during university term time there sometimes were one or two guys who worked on a Thursday and Friday evening.

We had a nice chat, but to be honest he gave off a sort of friendly, garrulous taxi driver vibe which although easy to talk to was a bit of a passion killer for me, and didn’t encourage me to want to part with €220.

The set up, the room and the guy for €220, was clearly explained to me at the start. They take cash or card and it was a relaxed and pleasant environment. I would recommend you go and have a look at the place if you are visiting Amsterdam. It is the last of its kind in the city, and will only survive if people visit - in fact I feel a little guilty for not hiring there now, lol.

Personally I think Boysclub (220 EUR) in Amsterdam is overpriced if you compare with Villa Giani (160 GBP) in London and both Cityboys (130 EUR) and Traumboys (140 EUR) near Köln.

I stopped by Boysclub on my trip to Amsterdam today.  There was a steady flow of customers into the club, which is good for a Saturday night.  It was not crowded. 

I was sure to get buzzed at a nearby gay bar first, to take advantage of lower prices.  Then I went to Boysclub and enjoyed a few drinks with a working boy on my arm as we sat and chatted and watched tasteful porn playing in the background. 

It's still 220 Euros for an hour with a boy in a private room and shower.  I recommend stopping by and dropping a few Euros the next time you're in Amsterdam, if only to keep places like this alive.

They take cash and credit cards.
