Hi, guys! A number of agents publish photographs either on their own sites or with agencies; some add g-rathed nude pix, and others x-rated pix. Have agents noticed whether pix bring in more clients? - and do x-rated pix bring in most? As a client I find x-rated pix really helpful when choosing a guy - apart from the pleasure of leafing through them!

I started out with cropped shots but found when I added x-rated shots my business increased substantially. Ideally I think that's the best way to go because then it's clear what can be expected. The last thing you want is to hire an escort and have him show up and not end up being what you're in to, so in the spirit of full disclosure I'd just assume put it all out there up front.!

The federal government is, according to my sources, going to crack down on sites next year which have full frontal nudity (male or female) on display without the ability to have it kept from the reach of children. How they will do this and do so efficiently is beyond both my practical and technical comprehension. It seems akin to finding the proverbial needle in a haystack, but this is your tax money at work, so who are we to question it.

 

To this end, you will notice that more escort and adult film performers have disclosures and/or "xxx only" sections which require a payment, even if only a token payment.

 

I offer to send nude photographs, including full frontal, full body shots, to anyone who appears to be legitimately interested in my services. I point everyone who makes an inquiry to one of several sites in which they can view most of me.

 

I agree with Nate Bruno, I do believe clients are entitled to reasonable know what they will be getting themselves into. In addition, I think clients have the right to know that the photographs are recent and how recent.

 

I do not think professional photograps are necessary but I do believe whatever photographs are used by an escort should be updated at least once a year. This should be considered a simple and inexpensive cost of business item.

Why would they need to charge to get in? Even if the cover page where you have to click and say that you are of age isn't considered enough by the authorities, wouldn't services like NetNanny work? (Note that Hoo has four such services on the front of this site.)

It is believed by some that presence of a credit card is enough to prove age of consent, but they're wrong. Ask any high-school senior these days. They routinely get offers for credit cards "for emergencies" when they go off to college. Parents routinely provide credit cards to the same kids for the same purpose.

 

Online age validation is perpetually a hot topic among adult webmasters. It has been for several years.

 

Services like NetNanny suffer from being completely voluntary on the part of the webmaster, and 90% of webmasters in this arena don't want ANYTHING that will reduce their traffic.

 

Services like AdultCheck and ManCheck are also voluntary, but provide the site owner some cashflow. But they suffer from the same basic flaw: they rely on presence of a credit card and your word that you're of age. And they restrict traffic as well.

 

It's a dicey topic.

That's some of it, but the average site probably doesn't cover its processing costs. :-) Particularly with changes coming up in IBill's handling of individual sites. VERY few will even break even.

 

Porn IS a multi-billion dollar industry, but the lion's share of the money goes to just a handful of the larger sites.

You're right.

 

It used to be that you needed a kid present to put together a swingset in the back yard. Only kids could figure out the "slot A and tab B" instructions.

 

These days, a lotta folks need a kid present to get online.

 

My Aunt Shirley is that way. She loves AOL, but she needed her granddaughter to get it set up.

 

This is going to be a major social issue for the next few years. Kids know how to "get there" and adults don't, but adults want to keep the kids from "getting there".

I personally like looking at nude pics anyhow, but even more so when I hire an escort really would like to know what to expect. However, I found at least once that the pic was about 7 years old! And the person had changed quite a bit! Does this happen alot??

This particular subject is one of those 'apples and oranges' topics that pertains perfectly to one guy, but is totally irrelevant to the next. Not a bad thing mind you...

 

As much as i have wanted to post some of my 'less wholesome' pictures for others to enjoy, i don't. To my knowlege it's never helped or hurt my business in any way. Don't get me wrong: I have had potential clients ask, up front, for XXX pictures and then stomp away in a huff when told it wasn't my policy to do so... I'm sure this was a loss of some sort.

 

I suppose, however, that the potential client who asks outright for that kind of pic, rather than take the time to tell me a little about himself, converse, write more than one sentance, etc isn't the kind of guy i am catering toward. As taught when you're an advertising major: Know thy target audience!

 

 

 

Sure, you can get an escort's XXX pics, but why spoil the sexual surprise by letting youself examine the whole enchillada ahead of time? A little skin and a tight pair of tighty-whiteys go a long way when it comes to igniting curiosity
