400 dollars for a session ?!?!

Sounds like he factored in business class tickets and hotels and other travel costs (including escort costs) divided by the number of escort sessions to get to the number. So the trip costed $10,000 total cost of trip/ 25 escort sessions = $400 per "session".

That is certainly a different way of looking at it from my perspective as I view playing with escorts as a side benefit of travel and not the sole reason :)

I am back from spending most of the winter in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, both very familiar travel locations for several years although the recently completed trip followed a close to 2-year pandemic gap.

Obviously travel tasks were the biggest difference and required much attentiveness including evolving mandate changes and attention to detail as well as occasional conflicting info. I tested assiduously for coronavirus, some mandatory the majority elective, primarily due to social exposure risk extremely higher relative to semi-quarantine for 2 years as well as pollution-generated chronic sore throat, a trip cost tally (outside of my few DIY RAT from my own kit) of at least CAD$500 CDN; but usually more expensive molecular versions.

Other than flights, not asked for vaccination proof except for one obscure museum.

I went to the escort sauna clubs about 25 times. I shocked myself in terms of my exposure risk tolerance that was certainly front of mind in the crowding and a huge deviation from my 2 years of isolation. The places were business as usual, comparable to the “before”. I am picky about looks and found São Paulo clubs disappointing but that is consistent with past impressions. Rio somewhat better, though the shine is off what was a new toy some 8 years ago. At that time you could not keep me from planning each subsequent trip following each termination. Now, not so much. But there were a few very good looking gym-built fellows, proclaimed tops.

When adding up all travel expenses and dividing by number of tricks in the clubs I figure it was about $400 for each of about 25 half-hour encounters, albeit the famously/historically low absolute provider rates. Naturally the justification has to be the value-add of vacation away. My context is business class flights but at searched lower fares with personal dates flexibility, and moderately priced accommodation about $100. Of course a more assembly line approach averages less, but my track record is that about 1 in 15-20 escorts on site interests me.

3 in 100 Brazilians were confirmed with infection cumulatively over my travel period. Undercount adjustment puts it much higher, perhaps 15 to even 25? Certainly at the higher levels in the brothels. I did not have evidence of acquiring infection and quite sure I did not get coronavirus though my sense is the chances were high overall. Vaccinated a year ago prime series in a blinded RCT, and an official prime series mRNA shortly before the trip.

The YouTube vid guys were fairly sick but I don’t think they mentioned inoculation status.

I was one of a very small number of club attendees wearing a mask (N95) in common areas though obviously there is no way to objectively discern its role in avoiding infection or reducing viral exposure meaningfully. I was most certainly exposed to virus-infused air with much loud talking and negligible ventilation. Where a sprinkling of providers wore masks in the ‘petri dish’ common areas I assumed they had infection at the time and perhaps knew it but showed up for work anyway. Staff were mostly masked but one sensed it was for compliance.

In contrast, locals wore masks outdoors even if alone walking a dog etc, though very few beyond cloth or surgical, and the mitigation seemed contradictory as crowded indoor and outdoor dining establishments were maskless. Biggest surprise was the comparably extremely widespread unnecessary use of masks outdoors.

Anyway, made it in and out of the country unscathed and tapped into an accumulated set travel budget untouched for two years. The weather was mostly and unusually dismal and waterlog-y especially Sampa. Plans to bus down to state beaches pretty much scuppered due to extremely heavy pouring almost daily. Overall, without the escorts would have been a terrible trip.

I don’t utilize ad sites or apps to snag encounters, paid or otherwise. São Paulo has a few massage spas where a happy ending may range from rub-and-tug to full sex, basic fee BRL250 but extras may be offered via upsell. I had one appointment and it was among the extended trip highlights.

Happy you were able to escape and enjoy the nice time :)  !!!

Sir Billybob

Your nuts to bolts report is much appreciated - it sounds like among the many casualties of Covid is the disappearance of many "premium" muscle boys in the saunas, some of whom may have found connecting online preferable to risk of infection.  Social distancing doesn't sound like an viable option in the context of the clubs of Rio.

To each his own. As a New Yorker, I quite like Sao Paolo, the men and the city.

I feel quite at home there - and very safe. Rio is another story. It has a its charms - but Sao Paolo is not all bad - its just a big city.

I also like Sao Paulo and visit there often.

Besides, of course, the garotos, there are about one hundred museums in Sao Paulo.   Some museums are great while others are quite small and not very interesting to me.

On one of your future trips to Sao Paulo, check out the below linked article that will give you a little information on the Sao Paulo museums.

Do most of the museums have English signage for exhibits, or is it all in Portuguese?  I try to avoid the headset museum guides, and prefer to read the descriptions beside each exhibit or artwork.

Most of the museums in Sao Paulo do not have English signage.

However, the largest and nicest museum (MASP) has both Portuguese and English language near most exhibits.
