Demanded money up front for time. Took money for an overnight and snuck out after an hour.  Did not return any messages sent or calls I made. I could see he was 1/2 mile away for the rest of the night.

Don’t feel like an idiot.  Stuff like this happens every so often.  This is one of the reasons most of us on here always warn about: Never, ever pay up front. Ever.  It prevents things like this.

Don't be discouraged though.  Most people aren’t like that.

I'm sorry this happened to you. There are a lot of great guys working as escorts, and it's unfortunate you hired one who was not. We've all had these learning experiences, and while yours was probably one of the more expensive learning experiences, thank goodness he was not violent or did not create problems for you.

Ironically this morning I found the Caveats in hiring post.  Clearly should have done more research before my first time.

He was a smooth one.  Built up trust with his personal stories (including 2 cancer stories), building up a "surprise dessert" he ordered, and leaving his backpack and belongings while he went down to pick up the delivered dessert.  I bought it hook, line and sinker...the kick to the teeth was the backpack was basically empty..2 lighters and an old pair of work out tights.

He accidentally text my phone number today with "I'm" then I think stopped when he realized it was my number. Asked if he had something to say and went silent.  One thing to be screwed over, but have the balls to claim it.

I haven't felt this gullible in a very long time (clearly I am bitter). Lesson learned. Hopefully no one else gets screwed over by him.

As one of my gay elders told me after I was fooled by the whole "I'm in the closet, my roomie doesn't know" turned into the roomie being the long time bf.  I was shocked that after 10 years of being a fairly weary street smart out gay....  

My friend knew there was nothing to do but crack a joke and tell me to move on.  (Faking an Irish accent) "well Ladee, it appears you have been taken"  "nothing you can do. Block his number block everything and never look back." 

Learn from it, and be thankful he went for the quick pay day.  Rather than a long bleeding your wallet and heart dry.

Stop beating yourself up over this.  I know it sucks and I have stories of my own just like this.  I think all of us on this forum have been burned at some point.  I mean if you fly enough your bound to have a flight canceled or your luggage lost every now and then.  The good thing is because this has happened to you you're going to be even more savvy from now on.  Just like the airline analogy frequent flyers know all the ins and outs of any problems that come up while traveling.  The next hire you have you'll be ready for any potential issues.

Wish I could. I just created a RM account on 2/1. Can’t leave a review until after I have been active for 15 days. Today I was blocked from seeing his profile page. My only option was to come here and hopefully keep someone else from encountering the same thing.

I meant here in the Reviews section! Not much posting there anymore like before and people need to know about these scammers! And then later when you can post there on RM also write your review! But here at least it will stay for a long long time even if he deletes his RM profile and makes another ones.
