Yup. That’s what he quoted me yesterday. If the boy is getting enough demand to fill his schedule at that rate, then more power to him - a savvy economic decision on his end.

I looked at his IG.  Charging $700/hour pays for a nice vacay at 5-star hotels on the Amalfi coast and in Ibiza!

I am still not going to hire him though.  If someone proposes $700 to me, that is like saying 'I don't have time to meet with you but if you are foolish enough to pay that, I will find the time somehow'.  And with that, I wonder how eager he is in providing a memorable experience ...

So you think the guy  who says "$250" and needs to see three guys a day to have the same income will assure a "memorable experience"? 

I think some guys do and some guys don't provide a memorable experience. A wise consumer cannot identify that from the provider's rate -- but can begin to identify that rather through careful reading of ads, thoughtful communication and questions beforehand, and close study of Company of Men. 

The quality of the experience, be it great or poor, often has absolutely no relationship with the listed rate,be it high or low.

My experience in scheduling Maicon was a bit different from what I’ve read here. He was fine with taking on a new client (me) and quoted me $500.

How long ago was this? I also got $500 a while ago but he revised rates to $700

This is why I wish RM would post providers' rates.   It would benefit providers and clients alike.   I'm not looking to waste anyone's time.  I'd like the opportunity to filter by the rate I'm able/willing to pay and then choose from the results.  Don't get me wrong, MaiconMax looks wonderful, but my budget is a bit more limited.  I wish him luck.

It has nothing to do with Rentmen. They allow rates to be published where it is legal, as it is here in Canada. Some providers choose to advertise their rates and others say “ask me”.

In the States they don’t allow rates since the government would come after them. 
 

I prefer dealing with the providers who advertise their rates but find those that don’t often offer similar rates to those that do. I like multi hour sessions so it usually comes down to a negotiation for multi hour discounts. I don’t haggle though and usually we arrive at a mutual agreement quickly.
