What are the pros/cons of hiring a provider when he’s visiting your city vs when he’s in his home city?

Considering when traveling there is the need to make the trip profitable to cover  expenses when traveling that the provider doesn’t have in their home city. So it’s presumed that there’s a need to maximize the number of clients seen to make the trip profitable/worthwhile.

So are you likely to get a better experience if you hire the provider in his home city where he is less likely to feel the need/pressure to see as many clients as possible in a given time period?

I generally prefer visiting providers because:

1. Boston has a limited talent pool, the better talent tend to be visitors

2. I need the provider to host, and visiting travelers almost always stay in hotels and can host

3.  I generally meet during the day, and traveling providers by definition are traveling and not working another job during the day (as many of our local providers do).

I tend to hire visitors as well.  I'm less likely to run into them at the mall, and I get bored with the locals.  Their is something exciting about hiring someone new who won't be here tomorrow.

However, there is a major con.  A good looking visitor is more likely to be overbooked to the point that they cannot perform.  While a good provider should show more restraint, that is often not the case.

I've met two in the past year that normally have 5-star reviews and one is even favorably reviewed here, but neither could keep UP, if you know what I mean.

I like to do both. On the one hand, locals often can become nice regulars that you can build a good rapport with. But then you do sometimes see them out in public or whatever which can be awkward.

Traveling escorts are great as well because they can be more available during the day (which is when I can often meet up). One thing I sometimes like to do with a traveling escort is have a bit of a longer session if I can afford it. That way it makes it a bit more worth their time to make sure everything is good for you. Plus I sometimes have been able to have nice company for dinner or a theater event or something and that makes it special too.

I live is Southern California, North Orange County, where there are many hiring options.  Nowadays I prefer entertaining escorts in my home and thus don't have to drive into L.A. or West Hollywood.  Considering the above I DEFINITELY prefer hiring local guys.  As I have aged I also prefer repeat engagements which are much easier to arrange with local guys.  I currently have two local guys that I see on a somewhat regular basis.  The only visiting escort I get together with is Tristan Baldwin but then he is very, very special.

There aren't many locals that I'm interested in. And the ones I am, tend not to be in the business long or move away. Most of my hires have been visitors or providers i've brought into town.

I don't see hiring either as pro or con in anyway... more of an issue of convenience and who I find attractive.

I tend to travel to the city, typically NYC,  where the provider is local and does an in call. They tend to be more relaxed and ‘up’ to the task.
I do appreciate the visiting provider who doesn’t wear himself out scheduling back-to-back appointments and is better able to give a more personal experience.

In my home city, I also prefer visitors as the local options are limited, while I prefer to meet with locals when visiting another city.

In the beginning, a con for hiring locally was running into a provider in public, but it's not any more awkward than running into someone you encountered on grindr/jack'd/etc., so it became less of an issue.

Visitors, at least in Chicago,  tend to be a lot more expensive,  both in rates and their demand to get an Uber.

I prefer establishing a "regular" relationship with providers,  and with my schedule,  that's really difficult with visitors, especially if they're only in a week or so.
