Cristiano Ronaldo, soccer player, won an award today, the Golden Ball and he was on CNN International several times looking so damn cute. My pics got caught, but Google him and you see many shirtless shots and lots of close ups of those sexy eyes and lips.

Cristiano Ronaldo also won two more prestigous awards earlier this year. He traveled to his native Madeira to receive the ESM Golden Shoe as Europe's top goalscorer last season. Also UEFA voted Ronaldo as the best player in last season's Champions League for Manchester United He was recently asked about any remaining ambitions in his career. He answered along the lines of wanting to be remembered as one of the greatest football players of all time. He certainly has lots of years left, although I'm sure one of his fellow teammates the ever so rebellious Mr Rooney may have a few things to say about that.

As usual there is always speculation about whether he will stay with Mancheter United or maybe try his luck with Nacional. Only time will tell whether he goes or stays with Man Utd at the Old Trafford. However one thing is for sure, he owes every bit of success that he thus far achieved to Manchester United and especially to it's football manager, the one and only Sir Alex Ferguson. To only think of it just a couple of years ago he was a virtual unknown Portugese football player who was hand picked out of obscurity by Manchester Utd and with the help of Mr Ferguson and Carlos Queiroz, the organisation developed him into a much better player and as a result he's a superstar for it.

He's been with the football club for five years now and I hope he stays at the Old Trafford and one day his name joins the likes of Ryan Giggs and George Best who became legends in their own respective eras for the club and for the sport of football. If on the other hand he decides to move on, which would be very understandable. Regardless of where he may end up, one matter for guaranteed certainty is he will always owe his success and career to Manchester United Football Club.

I recently returned from Spain, and the biggest news story there was his move to Real Madrid--all day, every day, on all the news media, just like Michael Jackson's death. Most newspapers devoted the first several pages of the news to him, not just the sports pages. Of course, there were many photos, including ones without his shirt, and he certainly is easy on the eyes. There was also a front page photo by a papparazzo of him at a nightclub with a young woman leaning toward him who apparently had nothing on under her short dress, not a photo that an American paper could print.
