This can then be verified using third-party vax passport services. They issue a unique identifier which can be traced back to your batch number, as well as the paperwork you signed and submitted when getting the shot. Totally foolproof, no. Nothing is totally foolproof. But if you do it right, it's pretty damned close. In all of this discussion, I also agree that protecting one's self is paramount. Islesguy Posted May 30, 2021 Share Posted May 30, 2021 NYS issued downloadable app-based QR code for your phone that you could not get until 14 days post full vaccine dose. It actually was 15 days because I tried to get mine two weeks post second Pfizer shot and couldn't get it until the following day. Some places are scanning the codes though most just accept you showing the image and a photo id. The only info on the image is your name, birthday and the 6 month period post vaccination. It is easy to block out your name and birthday on a screenshot using any basic image editing app. I know someone could share images with others, but it's better than nothing.
