Also, I think it would be a good idea to limit how small or how large the font size can be on replies, even  if the forum is responsive.

You can select Font size of choice, although there is a default preset at I believe 12 or 14 pts ?

That's what I meant. I think everybody is fine with a 12- to 14-point font size on their replies. There's no need to have it go up as high as 72 points unless one's being obnoxious.

I can most likely figure out a way to take away the ability to use big/small fonts, but ultimately if someone is abusing the capability… the moderating team can and will take action. Initially it will be a gentle nudge in the right direction, growing to formal warnings which if/when enough warning points accrue results in posts being automatically queued for moderator approval and finally in temporary suspension.

Anyone else having a problem with the SEARCH function?  I haven't been able to find a thing since the update, it takes forever.

Seems to be working for me...  for example, I just searched for "Bradley".

https://www.companyofmen.org/search/?q=Bradley&quick=1

Results appeared very quickly for me.  What exactly are you looking for?

In the prior edition, if I started to scroll up, I was offered the option of a button which would go to the top. That option seems to have disappeared. Not a huge problem in the scheme of things, but it would be nice to regain that function.

I've tried links to RM ads and the search just freezes.

I'm confused...  are you meaning you're searching for a provider's RM handle in the search box and not getting results?  I just pulled a sample of random profiles and took their name and searched for it.

https://www.companyofmen.org/search/?&q=DarioSpaniardDC&search_and_or=or&sortby=relevancy

https://www.companyofmen.org/search/?&q=Boymadrid&search_and_or=or&sortby=relevancy

https://www.companyofmen.org/search/?&q=Hunter_Bronson&search_and_or=or&sortby=relevancy

In each case, I received search results and received them quickly.

Can you give me a step by step of what you're doing so that I can replicate it?  If there is a specific search phrase you think should have results that do not, let me know what you're exactly searching for.  If people are having trouble searching, I want to try to get to the bottom of it.

Copy and paste this whole link, not just the name, and see what happens for you

https://rent.men/WilliamEricson

Don't paste the whole URL.  Just paste the username.  So in this case, only search for "WilliamEricson".

https://www.companyofmen.org/search/?q=WilliamEricson&quick=1

This is important because there can be instances of replies about that provider can be missed if they're not using "rent.men" as the address.  Some members use rentmen.eu for example.  Since their site has so many different URLs, it's better to only search the username instead of the full address.

Correct me if I am wrong, Rob.

If I wanna search all mentions of an escort, in this case the best option should be to type "William Ericson" in the search box, never an URL address.

Correct.  You don't want the FULL URL.  In addition, for the best results, type in the name exactly as the username is in terms of spaces, underscores, etc.  "William Ericson" is not the same as "WilliamEricson" (notice the space is not included in the second one.)

The actual RM username is the unique part of the URL. So that’s what we want to search for as your search phrase since (hopefully) someone has a link to the profile somewhere in the thread. We don’t want to bother figuring out rent.men vs rentmen.eu vs all the other variations so just the username would be your best bet at an index key.

But why would I want to search for the name as it is in the url? If a client is going to write a report or make a comment about an escort, they will probably refer to him as William Ericson, not as WilliamEricson.

This is a good question... here's an example I hope will help explain a little bit more:

When you would just searched "Pedro Rios", this results in no results ever been returned.  Nowhere in this post is the word "Pedro" or "Rios".  So the search does not display the result.

However if you look through most of the threads in the Deli, if we're talking about a provider...  there is almost always somewhere in the thread a link to their RM page.  So if you instead search for "Pedro_rios", it WOULD detect the result even if it was just a PART of the overall URL.  You can't count on the exact URL matching because some people might have used rent.men/PEDRO_RIOS and others might have used rentmen.eu/PERDO_RIOS, or one of the other variations of the main site address.

The RM username is the item that is most likely to be in most threads talking about a provider given not all posts mention the full name or take into account underscores, dashes, or other symbols that might be part of their names.
