I always pay afterwards. I'm paying for his time after all, and time can only be gauged after its on the clock, not before. What if he accepted the envelope and turned and walked out the door?

I had a guy meet me at a hotel. Gave him 300 when he came in. He then said the 300 was only for his company and even a regular message would be extra. After that I never paid upfront unless I already know them.

No, I contacted him but he hasn't responded. But, you do have to be careful because there are scammers out there.
