Do you prefer your escort to host, and if they can’t: what’s the alternative?

Almost all of the men of whose services I've engaged throughout these way too many years have lived either in San Jose or in the San Francisco Bay Area; thus I have preferred to play at my hotel or at his place.

Interesting point.  I have to agree.  With only a couple of exceptions, I usually have a better time at my hotel.

Given the choice, I prefer to HOST... better for me and I think better for the client because I can control the "ambience" of the situation -- they get to indulge in a more total experience in my own setting, instead of a hotel (last choice for me.... never totally comfortable) or their home (I don't know what to expect).

There is one downside to my hosting - I hate having the client have to now deal with public transportation (NYC) or a drive home.

I prefer to visit - particularly in my home city where i play on the Down Low - its the only option.

I like kinky fun so if the provider is set up for that, then it  works so well !

Recently i was out of town, and the providers were reluctant to host.  So I had a hot 2 sum in a Leather guesthouse - set up for that kind of play,  the other gent came to my airBNB so that was nice and discrete and a good time was had by all.

I’ve also heard or read the theory of whether a person is a “nester” or not. The theory is that most people fall in one of two categories, either nesters or non-nesters. Nesters feel much more comfortable hosting, while non-nesters feel much more comfortable meeting at a host’s home or a hotel.

 I definitely fall in the non-nesters category. My preference is to meet escorts at their hotel room, or, as is the case with some local escorts, at their homes. I would never be comfortable hosting at my home for various reasons, many already put forth in this thread! The exception is when I travel myself to another city and stay in a hotel, I am fine hosting, since it isn’t my home space.

I WILL get a hotel room locally if a provider I really want to see cannot host, such as a traveling escort who visited my area last weekend in order to strip at a local gay club and was staying at the club’s owners’ home. He told me about his stripping gig, and it sounded great because the club owners paid for his flight to and from my city, put him up in their home and paid for or furnished all of his meals, besides paying him a nice amount for his dancing (from about 9 pm to midnight or 1 am!) and, of course, all the tips he receives from the club’s patrons!

I prefer to go to the escorts place.  Either hotel if he is visiting or his home.  Not happy, I can just walk out, no need to get him out.  Also my place not exclusive to me so no need to risk his leaving things around that will raise questions.  I have never felt uncomfortable in someone's place.  Also travelers only bring a limited array of items of interest at most.  Their homes are fully equipt.

I prefer to host or get a hotel. Just feel comfortable in my own home.

When traveling, as client, I prefer to host 100%.  Much rather be in my hotel than their home or.....

At home, I'm a suburbanite, and the travel expense requested has been outrageous, or guys simply don't want to travel this far.  So I've usually gone to provider's place.  But that's meant some less than desirable surroundings.  

I'm also careful about providing access to my home for both safety and identity reasons, for first time meets.  I've probably only done it six or eight times, and it was only a problem once.
