SirBillybob
Hahahah. She looked so familiar but older, I had to look up her background. The casting call: “a live Mrs Bates”. But what a shocker/ hook in the pilot. samhexum

+ WilliamM
Better in Montana than Studio 54 ... there’d have been major rioting and cinema walkouts. My brother works in Montana at Yellowstone National Park. Big Sky is filmed in Vancouver, not Montana. But I do understand your point. about major rioting . Thanks. samhexum
My brother works in Montana at Yellowstone National Park. That's JELLYstone. Didn't you ever watch Yogi Bear? There's a Yellowstone Blvd near me; I've always wanted to petition the city to rename it. + WilliamM
Gardner, Montana is the closest grocery store to Yellowstone. I was caught in an October snowstorm driving from there to Wyoming a while ago. leeper
I watched the first episode of this show - it will be one and done for me. I found no reason to watch further.
SirBillybob
My brother works in Montana at Yellowstone National Park. Big Sky is filmed in Vancouver, not Montana. Right you are. And Studio 54 was shot in Toronto. Big Sky was originally to have been filmed in New Mexico. Some of the border exceptions seem to have been keeping ‘Hollywood North’ a bit active. ——- Though Vancouver filming has not spared Richard Schiff hospitalization there due to CoV. And his time in the West Wing was long before the pandemic. Apparently he and his wife acquired it in the community, not specifically on set. samhexum
It took me until last night to get around to watching the second episode. I got into it, but don't see how this could be an ongoing show for many seasons. Edited November 30, 2020 by samhexum
samhexum
They need to get some male eye candy on the show.
jjkrkwood
I found it tolerable for one hour. Maybe its because of my total boredom being cooped up ?
down_to_business
It's mildly entertaining. Wouldn't have started it if I would have known what happens to the (spoiler free) actor or actress I originally tuned in because of. It should be a one and done season show. + BenjaminNicholas
It should be a one and done season show. It reminds me of what Mel Brooks wrote in The Producers: 'This play has got to close... on page 4'

Valerie Mahaffey was right in the middle of my original list of actors you can't stand, but I have to say I enjoyed her more in her last couple of scenes in this week's episode than I ever did before.
