When I lived in New York, I couldn't have cared less that a dermatologist was gay. I wanted good, and I found one. But, that was a long time ago, so have no names.

The dermatologists in Palm Springs are a sorry lot in my experience.

Thinking about your post, do you want to have an erection when the hot gay doc takes the moles off of your butt? Or do you just want them off?

This. 100%.

Find the best derm for the job. Save super hot for the escort ;)

I find it odd and counterproductive when gay men can't compartmentalize their libido when it comes to things like medical issues, legal needs and home repair projects.

As I mentioned, I feel more comfortable with a gay person.

I figure this might be the same as butt waxing as well? Some guys may not care if it's a man or a woman, but some do.

Dare I say......many here found your preferring a derma doc who was (super) “hot” to be immature / infantile & a display of really messed-up priorities......

anyway, hoping that you can say bye bye to your “lindsey ladybugs“ soon.

If the doctor, butt waxer (esthetician), dentist, etc. is the best in the biz and fits my needs...their gender or sexuality means zero to me.

You lost me at 'home repair.' You should meet my electrician (fully licensed, does a good job, nice guy), I've been known to objectify him

Need to get some moles removed in the bottom area. More comfortable with a gay person.

Bonus if he is super hot! ?

On a more serious note. I went to my doctor to ask about a largish mole. He referred me to a dermatologist. She looked at the mole (and nitroed a few spots of damaged facial skin she noticed and was concerned about) and referred me to a surgeon about removal of the mole. It looked like there might be a problem with it (pre-cancerous). Surgeon removed it at his office. I went back a month later so he could check on the healing. Whole process lasted about three months.

Here, Canada, there was no cost involved in any of this, so the process I went through might not be relevant for you. I guess it depends on insurance coverage and whether its a cancer prevention or a cosmetic concern that you have.
