Two things…

1. “Confidence” is different from “cockiness” or “entitlement.” 
2. Sometimes people don’t always use the best word to describe what they mean. 

To the second point, I think we all know what is meant by an overly “confident” provider. There are many providers who act like they’re entitled to a client’s money no matter the service rendered simply because they’re good looking and willing to be with you for a price. They act like they’re doing the client a huge favor instead of recognizing it’s transactional.

I do believe the wrong word was used:  Confidence is very, very different than cockiness.
