My employer has blocked Grindr on their WiFI network

My last job I tried to go on espn.com the one time to see all the sports scores fast and it was blocked. just had to do a google search but thought it was kinda funny.

I worked all my life in a university setting where faculty and others thought they had free access to any site any time. I disagree and say, you are at work, you should not be using the time to search certain web sites, although faculty would say it was for research purposes. Come on, while we enjoy the freedom to see such sites as this use discretion. If not, stop your bitching

The few tenured university professors that I have known seemed (to me) to think they could buck most university rules with impunity - not realizing that tenure only means that they are guaranteed "due process" before they are fired.

I keep all of my devices on VPN all the time. I change which servers I route through. When I travel overseas I can use NYC or LA and still get streaming US services. When I want porn I route through Denmark or Netherlands.

My point was people were implying everyone was using their phones during work time and that’s not necessarily the case.

At least he didn't send a pic of his junk to the entire office... How can someone confuse Grindr with email? ?

 

Yikes. I'd never visit an adult site at work, even a place such as this. Though I must confess I've made hotel reservations while at work.

 

Exactly! It should be common sense! No porno, no Grindr either. Employees should wait till 5 PM or whenever they're done with work.
