Today's reveiw of Joe Sarge has me wondering about how long a person can escort? Personally, I like the young ones; 18-35 suits me just fine. It is not all about the age, but as we age we show it and that is not as attractive to me as the look of youth. After that I have little interest. That is my bias. I know some like the daddy type. But I rather suspect that most clients want the young ones.

I see a few escorts that I like and worry a little about their futures. I sometimes prod, inquiring about their interests in post-escorting careers. With few exceptions, there does not seem to be a real plan in mind. How long can one plan on escorting? Obviously, Joe Sarge is still at it in his "50's."

If a guy enjoys what he does, is still physically and psychologically up to it as well as still desired by many of us, it is up to him as to how long he'll "stay" in the business.

Remember the old adage: "...different strokes for different folks?" Everyone does not like "the young" when it comes to physical and sexual contact. Personally, I like men of all ages coupled with other factors.

I applaud Joe for still being in the escort business; from what has been written about him and from what is at the sites where he appears-- I'm "game" to connect with him! As alluded to in the above-- I am a discreet admirer of many men. :-)

I'm completely with you on this but I accept Axiom's point. Chacun son gute. Each to his on desires. I find this a fascinating topic: What makes us like different looks in men?

IMHO. There are those "Mature" (Older) Men who definitely feel more comfortable in the company of Mature Working Guy's. They just Relate to their "age group" better SEX WISE!

Joe is the Physical Image of Maturity...I'm sure his Mature Muscle's and Big Schlong do him just fine! Don't forget he works The NYC Market! This is the "City of Specialist's"...Something for Everyone!

IMHO of course! LOL :p :P :p

I thought that I'd pretty much retired last year when I started working full time, but I've been thinking lately about how much fun I had escorting. Not only that, but I discovered that even though MeetLocalMen.com is gone, my link still works:

Now I check out the forum and THIS is the topic. Destiny? Beshert? Kismet?

So I guess this is my way of saying that I'm coming out of retirement. My time during the week is limited since I work 9-6, but I guarantee you will have a good time!

Oh, and for those of you wondering about using "old" pics, I think I weigh about the same as I did in those! The hair's just a little greyer and my body's even better! For the record,my stats are 5'7, 146.6 and 7c with a delicious mushroom head. The other big difference is that I'm now in West Hollywood near Santa Monica & San Vicente.

Hope to hear from some of my old friends and new ones soon!

Best,

As long as there is a customer for what they're selling.

However, the more provocative question is: How long SHOULD a person escort?

Eternally yours,

I've worked as an escort for nearly 16 years and I'll be 44 on Sunday. I'm only seeing 2-3 longtime regulars a week since entering semi-retirement last summer when I stopped advertising. My friend Jason Markus is a year older than I and he's busier than he's ever been. He started out as a stripper and started escorting around the time I did in the early 90's. Every escort's different, some burn out rather quickly, others never wanted to escort for very long in the first place. I figured I'd stop escorting completely when I either stopped enjoying it or clients stopped calling. Currently, my time is taken up by my gym and being a nanny to my business partner's 4 year-old son who I take care of a few days a week.

I would say the answer is still the same..."as long as there is someone looking for that type of escort". When the phone stops ringing, maybe it's then time to throw in the towel.

FFF...Possibly...AS long as they can Renew their "Viagra" Prescription!

Of course so many Young guys take the Pill, The "Shelf Life" of ALOT of Working Guy's, I'm sure in some cases is alot loonger that it would Normally be!

IMHO of course...:p :P :p

Sure it's supply & demand, but we're also talking about outliers. And even in that group, there are guys who've had multiple careers. Bilbo, who talks about 20+ years in the biz, switched to massage. Jason Branch, the pron star has been doing it off & on for almost all of his adult life. For awhile, he did it as a boytoy overseas, later as an adult porn star. He hasn't advertised in awhile, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him advertise again.

For awhile I tracked the Premier site in Philly to see how long escorts lasted (and because I had reason to visit Philly in those days). Over the course of a year, about 30% of the guys had stayed in their stable. Another 30% lasted about 6 months or more. There was a smaller group that didn't last 2 weeks and a few who made returned visits. Some guys like Jimmy have stayed forever. Obviously, they're an agency and the guys aren't a random sample, but I think it's indicative of how guys turnover.

I think as long as they are willing to turnover there will be those ready to hire them.

I have never seen a purplekow;

I never hope to see one;

I can tell you anyhow;

I'd rather see than be one

Help there is a purplekow in my mirror

Thanks for remembering me. I actually switched to erotic bodywork. Lost my massage license at 49 when the state found out that I also did escorting. Seperately, of course, not at the same time, but they didn't care about that distinction. I have since trained with Body Electric as a Sacred Intimate, and am about to start volunteering, believe it or not, to visit the sick and maybe do some energy healing, through my local MCC. However, though I don't have any good ads out there any more - For one thing, I am a librarian's son and miss the state and local gay printed materials, which have nearly disappeared here in TX. - like my colleague from Ohio, I still have regulars who just wouldn't fit easily into any other category than pure escorting. And others who allow me to bodywork them, even to heal them a little, but only if they get their escorting needs met at the end of the session. Plus ca change, plus ca meme. LOL

BigD.. Yes this is a question that has been asked On and Off for along time. Since the last time it was asked, I'm sure some Guys Reviewed around here have Moved On...A Couple of the Hunky ones I might add...

Over the Year's from what I see of course the $$ has been the Main Motivation to get into "Working It"! Some Guy's just plain like having Sex Period! How can it not be Fun, having your Dick Sucked ETC and getting paid? The Client can get his Fantasy Fulfilled and everyone is a Happy Camper.

The Age of the Client makes no difference at all. As 18 to 99 States at least on Gaydar! LOL

There are Guys who have had "Regular" Clients for 7-10 Year's. Of course there's an "emotional attachment" to that from the Client or that period of time wouldn't make all that much sense really from the $$ perspective!

These are the "Mature" Working Guys who know how to handle a Client and his emotional feelings towards them! How long can a Guy Work It? That depends on both Client and Working Guy.

Some Guys Move On.. Drop their ADS BUT keep their Regs for a long -long time. IMHO of course

BUT OF COURSE THE REAL SMART "Working Guys" HAVE SAVED & INVESTED IN THE FUTURE! LOL

:p :P :p

If a person has the desire and can satisfy their client, then they could go on for years. I think its a matter of pace, and looking after themselves.
