Can someone give me a summary? Is this event still happening? Are all welcome? Is it really during Coachella!?!?!?!? Thanks in advance!!

Yes, it is happening, all are welcome and multiple people have long since booked flights and accommodation. Most of the details have been covered in this thread (and if you search for threads about previous years' meetings you'll find details on them that will give you a feel for how this year's will run). In summary, a dinner in a local restaurant and a pool party, with other meet-ups of varying degrees of formality. The Canyon Club and Inndulge are two of the more popular accommodation venues, and forum members socialise around the pools in those establishments and engage in other assignations (and not so secret meetings).

Awesome! Thank you! I will do my best to attend although the thought of driving from LA to PS on Coachella weekend does not sound fun. I'd love to meet some other guys who also hire. I've looked at Seeking Arrangement but it's either one side or the other. I either find young guys looking for money or older guys looking to hire. I want to find guys my age (late 40...ish) or older who I can hang out with, travel together, pay our own way and hire separately. Is that so hard!?!?!??!

Hey Toocoolforschool the drive out to Palm Springs from L.A. during Coachella weekend isn't all that bad if you plan carefully. I live in North Orange County and make the drive on Friday in the a.m. There is more traffic than usual but it isn't really awful. I always try to arrive in Palm Springs on Friday around noon and stay until Tuesday around noon. The one thing that is "absolutely essential" is that you make room reservations early. If you check through this thread you will find recommendations for places to stay. Mike Carey is right on when he states that The Canyon Club and Inndulge are two very popular places with many of the participants.

It is great fun to meet with and talk with other guys who pursue this hobby of ours. There will also be a number of outstanding escorts attending as well. Please do try and join us.

Maybe we should start a travel club "Gays of the Traveling Wallets" ? I too would welcome like minded gents to travel with as I hate doing anything alone (except perhaps jerking off....Sometimes ;) )

Just don’t leave on Monday am. Last year it took us 90 minutes just to get to Moreno Valley.

yes, Monday morning after the weekend, I-10 west toward LA was incredibly heavy a couple years ago (a buddy and I were trying to get to the nearest LA Fitness in Redlands) after a Coachella weekend.....it did loosen up near the 60 junction in Beaumont, though.......really a colossal amount of humanity on the highway that day!!

Flying out on Monday... I guess I can expect similar crowds at the airport...?
