I recently hired an escort, for the first time in many years. There were a number of texts back and forth, as I’d started feeling insecure and hesitant to meet with a guy young enough to be my son (at least). He assured me that most of his clients are over 50, so we ended up getting together. He was very charming and even better looking than in his photos, and we had a nice, fairly vanilla encounter.

The following day I received a text from him asking how my day was going and what I was doing, and he sent a photo that showed off his large muscular ass, which I’d complimented him on throughout our encounter. There was some general chit-chat, then I suggested getting together later that day. No response. Some time went by and I wrote again to tell him how much I enjoyed meeting him and he sent an emoji blowing a kiss. When I asked again about getting together, he asked if I just wanted to hang out or to hire him, as he would rearrange some things if I were willing to pay him; otherwise, he was too busy that afternoon.

My first question is, Have you ever initiated a follow-up with a client? And does it seem like this guy was sending me mixed messages? Thanks for any insight.

In that he asked if you wanted to just hang out, it implies he had a great time and would consider it. But from a business perspective, he was following-up with a client and showing that he didn't forget you once he had your money and was out the door. Since you wanted to hire him again, he was on target as well :)

I don’t see any mixed messages, many escorts try to entice me to rehire them with cute emojis or hot pictures of their body. It is purely business for them, as I assume it is for this guy.

What you are receiving are marketing messages. Not an admission of love for you.

Never imagined it was “love,” just surprised that he contacted me the next day. As mentioned, I haven’t had a lot of experience with escorts (masseurs, yes!); in my previous experience the escort also contacted me the next day, but when I said I couldn’t afford to pay him he said it was ok, he just wanted to have sex with me again. Very flattering. Was hoping this recent experience would be similar, but clearly this guy is cash only.

I completely agree with @Tarte Gogo so I won't even repeat what he wrote to you.

As far as I am concerned, I always send a follow-up message right after the appointment (but not the next day because I respect my clients' privacy), otherwise I send a "Thank you" email later but I don't solicit for future encounter. It is up to each companion to decide how he wants to promote his business and whether that person will solicit for future meetings or not (I don't). I think it is courteous to thank the client for taking his time to see me, but I personally don't keep on messaging people I have seen. Again, no such thing as the "right way", that's just how I do it, since you asked.

As a client, I have this happen to me all the time. Escorts or masseurs contact me in a flirtatious way after a session. Always to drum up more of my business. For sure, he was fishing for another paid session with you. Escorts and masseurs schedules change by the minute. Business can be slow at 2pm....and suddenly at 3pm they can have 5 requests. That large muscular ass pic he sent was meant to enitice you....not for a great, free time, but for another paid time. Probably was a slow day for him. Good thing he had you clarify if it was for business or pleasure. By re-arranging things, he meant keeping his schedule open for your paid appointment. By saying if it was not for pay, he was to busy, to keep the time open for a paying client. Understandable, since if he was spending free time with you, someone else could text him last minute and he would lose that paying client. Although it is a pleasurable job for these guys, it is their job and how they pay their bills. Gotta respect that.

When I hired, I always saw those texts/messages after a successful session as good marketing.

It’s not the same as getting a ‘thank you’ text after taking a non-working guy to dinner or a ‘thank you’ note/card after taking him on a short vacation. That’s simply good manners.

Smart working guys know repeat clients are best and essential to having a steady income.

Wait. Not.. Love? I’m conducting my business incorrectly with unhealthy love affairs with all clients..

As a client, it is fine for me to tell myself that I have a close connection, even a friendship, with a favored escort. But we must always respect the boundary between us that is based on contract. Because the escort's business does not align with my own fantasy, it does not mean the experience is any less enjoyable. I am a friend with one particular escort and we share views on a number of topics but it would be entirely inappropriate to believe our friendship should obviate the need to pay.
