What event in your relationship do you count your anniversaries from?

We celebrate both. We went on our first date on Columbus Day of 1992. We always go out to dinner on or around Columbus day. We got married on December 29. We usually go way for a couple days to celebrate that.

Which one? The day I met @Robster online, the day I moved out here to be with him which is also our wedding day in Canada years later or the California marriage we did in the window between the time the CA Supreme Ct. struck down the ban and before Prop 8 passed.

I wondering what event couples celebrate as their anniversary as some couples do not get married.

We always celebrated the anniversaries of our first date and our wedding.

We met on World Aids Day...moved in to a house we bought in May 15 1992....So we celebrate May 15...Never ever had a disagreement...Really!...We are both easy going..I travel a lot..and both very very frugal (cheap)...

We met and spent our first night together on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. So the Sunday after Thanksgiving is it. We never celebrate our actual wedding anniversary.

We celebrate the day we met, because it was also the day that we decided to live together for the rest of our lives. He never can remember our wedding anniversary, which was almost 45 years later.
