There is the Wet Party and the White Party, but if you are lucky, you will go to the third annual Palm Springs Theater Night, scheduled for two months from now, on February 17th. This year we will be seeing the musical 42d Street after dinner, and on Sunday a pool party will he held at Oliver's condo in Palm Springs.

Advance commitments for the event indicate that it will be the largest of the three nights. The block of tickets that I bought have already been accounted for, so if you want to sit with the group, let me know soon so I can buy some more.

I'm confused, Lucky. Why does it say you have only been a member since last May? 7000 posts is a lot to make in seven months.

By the way, I'll be there for "42nd Street."

Posted

Actually, I have 17,000 posts, but the meter only goes to 10,000, so in May Daddy had to recalibrate me! :)

Incidentally, the theater is installing all new seats so even if the play sucks, you won't squiggle!

...to walk out on at intermission! Actually, it was my client's idea; he'd had enough tapping in Act One and suddenly had the urge to tap my ass. }(

Ben would probably prefer that we attend The Palm Springs Follies, a truly dreadful show, which, in fairness, many people like, including Ben! Will you attend next year if we choose that show, Ben?

Posted

Yes, i've enjoyed the PS Follies. *gasp* You act as if you're going to call Ben Brantley on the rainbow 'gayphone' and report me to the GPC (Gulity Pleasure Council, that is).

If i remember correctly, you enjoyed Little Dog Laughed on Broadway. I didn't. I found it contrived and full of cliches, but i didn't beat you over the head about it. Different folks, different strokes.

Be nice. It's almost Christmas :)

How could I be nicer than to want you to come to our Theater Night? And I did point out that, in fairness, others do like the show.

And we actually agree on The Little Dog Laughed. If you will look back at what I actually said, I didn't like it either! Now give me a big hug and I will go to the Follies with you next year...on your dime, of course!:)

It's over! Now the world can go back to worrying about Iraq and Iran.

We had a good time Saturday night, starting out with dinner at Azul, where a very confused cute Marine entertained us with his frequent visits to the bathroom and long stares at our table.

The musical 42d Street is always enjoyable, and this one included some pretty fine singers.

But the highlight was yesterday's pool party at Oliver's, where he, Jackhammer, and Ace swan naked through the pool and...oops. that didn't happen! It was Scott Adler and Ace naked in the pool.

A young guest who was envisioning a career as an escort joined the party fresh off the boat, so to speak. He already had a couple of customers interested, or so it looked to me.

The food was great. Couldn't have been better had it been prepared by a Chinese New Year specialist!

And the real star of the show was the shadow! Cute as a button, and friendly too. Some escorts could learn from him!

So thanks to Oliver for sharing his home and putting on one of our best parties yet.

Mark your calendar for next year. We promise to have go-go dancers for you!

::shielding myself in advance from the gay card police::

Whats an Esther Williams act? Meanwhile thank you and I dont know where Lucky got that bit about the pool? Ace stayed very clothed poolside while I was taking a new swimsuit with a built in cock ring for a test drive.

What happened to truthful in our reporting, you know I prefer swimwear to skinny dipping :)

Thanks again to everyone for an awesome weekend. Met a lot of new friends and had a lot of fun as there truly is a Sunny Side to Ev'rything ;)

Actually, to maintain truthful reporting, Ace was half clothed.

Would have liked to get to know the "porn star"'s other half a little better.

Didn't go with the pool decor... Green stripe was off the color grid for the design.

In no way would the word skinny apply to you now. Heheh

A number of request for you to do EXACTLY that fell on deaf ears..One of the locals had to show you how it was done and I BLAME you.....

.and you are lucky your youth prevented you from going into the pool fully clothed.

It was a great party and was good to catch up with old friends and make some new ones. I swear old greivences seem disappear so easily with some sun, great food, good company and half naked men. Kind of puts things in the proper perspective.

Thanks to Oliver and everyone involved. I had a great time.

>Whats an Esther Williams act?

Did you ever see the Go-Go's video for "Vacation"? That was a takeoff of 1940's/50's movie star Esther Williams, who was known for her MGM films where she performed amazing swimming and diving routines. If you have Turner Classic Movies, she's on there all the time. From wikipedia:

"Many of her films, such as Million Dollar Mermaid and Jupiter's Darling, contained elaborately staged synchronized swimming scenes, obtained not without physical cost to the performer. She broke her neck filming a 50 ft. dive off a tower during a climactic musical number for the 1952 release Million Dollar Mermaid which landed her in a body cast for six months. She subsequently recovered, though she still suffers headaches as a result of the accident. Her many hours spent submerged resulted in her rupturing her eardrums numerous times. In her autobiography, Williams details several other occasions in which she nearly drowned shooting her oxygen-defying stunts; she rarely used a stunt double."

You mean this guy? ;-)

Lorenzo Lamas

He is actually her stepson. His biological parents were Fernando Lamas and Arlene Dahl. That is one gene pool I wouldn't mind swimming the length of! And if Lucky and Oliver and Charlie and Scott and Ace are all paddling alongside, so much the better!

I must say I had a great time. Thanks Lucky for the invite, hospitality, and event planning. Also to Oliver for being such a great host during my first trip to Palm Springs. Great party. It was great to again meet some old friends and to create many new ones.

It also gave me the opportunity to stop in LA and meet Scott Adler before the events in addition to crossing paths at the scheduled events for the weekend in the desert. Internet personalities aside, he was a very pleasant surprise and indeed a pleasure to meet. We buried the hatchett as they say and it was a blast to bury something else :-)... review will follow.

Again thanks to everyone, what a very enjoyable weekend. Now home to the cold brrrr.

"We buried the hatchett as they say and it was a blast to bury something else ... review will follow"

Well I think when people discuss things on the message centre, they are very candid, and aren't afraid to say what they think. So while I may not agree with some things that people write, I would still like to meet everyone on this list in person. A message board works best, when people have various opinions...and we have that here. If everyone agreed with each other....it would be very boring.

To me it also tells me what the escorts are like who post here, and I can tell that most if not all have a very positive attitude about themselves, becuase they are not afraid to write down what they are thinking, and that makes them even more attractive to me...:-)

Well, of course I am glad that people found the theater weekend enjoyable, as I did. This is the third year in a row that we have had a successful Hooville weekend. The guys at these Hooville events are the guys that contribute the reviews and keep the forums flowing. They patronize the advertisers and are the reason the site is successful. And, of course, they hire the escorts. Daddy has never chosen to come, nor has Deej ever graced us with his presence. Of course, neither has taken upon himself the task of organizing such an event for the members here.

It is ironic, then, that on the very day of the theater party, deej states in another thread that "I'll admit that I find the concept of Lucky being banned oddly appealing." Another poster wonders why my charter member status here has been revoked, and, of course, doesn't get an answer.

I realize, of course, that I do what I do because I want to, and not to gratify deej or daddy. But if they can't support the activity of organizing events for the members here, I think the least they can do is withhold the barbs. Deej can do it himself, or daddy can finally step in and say "enough, deej."

Your remarks prove my wisdom in not attending these events. I am not welcome and would never feel welcome. Daddy and I actually discussed his flying down for one of these and concluded that afterwards he would likely regret it. Again, your remarks support that conclusion.

If you have any questions about how this site is run, feel free to write to the only authority:

Oh hell, I'm tired of typing it! If you can't find it by now, I'll buy you a spotlight.

I've been studying for the LSATs the past couple months and every method of logical analysis leaves me at a loss at how you were able to come to THAT conclusion.

Hell if I'm welcome you know that everyone is welcome ;) KYTOP and I had a wonderful weekend together more often than not sitting next to each other at events.

The commentary goes more to not even showing up or speaking ill of the events after the fact as you just have here. Love all parties involved to pieces but frankly this was a wonderfully welcoming weekend that even the mean girls would have enjoyed themselves at.

>even the mean girls would have enjoyed themselves at.

Depending on how you count, several did. ;-)

I'm not talking down about the event. I've been fully supportive of all Hooville gatherings around the country, and remain so. I think they're great ideas!

It's pretty clear that some members of the community would not welcome me. Their public remarks are more consistent than their private apologies and lame attempts at butt kissing. I wasn't born yesterday.
