Not on the point, but the last few days I am drooling over a Plaletromeo profile of a young couple. One blond, the other mix race dark. Both 21 yo and gorgeous. They say they date together. I chat with them, there is of course a small age difference... lets see how it goes :)

My partner and I have an open relationship, but it's very one-sided. He's uncomfortable having sex with guys he doesn't know, so he rarely has sex outside of our relationship. I find it a big hassle to do so, so I do it less and less. I have a few FBS of fairly long standing and a few favored escorts, but I don't get around much.

My partner and I recently celebrated our 50th anniversary living together. After the first three honeymoon weeks together, we both admitted that we were attracted to other men as well, and the only way our relationship was likely to survive was if we were honest about it. Therefore, we accepted the fact that sex with others was going to happen, maybe even affairs--they did--and we shared the necessary information about who we were sleeping with. We also had an understanding that, because we loved each other, we would let one another go if one of those other relationships reached that level of importance that one of us wanted to leave. It got close a couple of times, but we always decided that our relationship was too important to us, and we split with the potential new partner. I started hiring escorts partly because it eliminated the potential for emotional involvement. In 2013, we got married, and we have been monogamous ever since. (OK, OK! I'll admit it has been easy, since we don't get any other offers nowadays.)

That's a sweet story! 50 years together! Regarding getting married in 2013 - same-sex marriage was not legal until 2015?

Incredible, thoughtful, honest reply. Thank you, Man. Wishing you two deep love and a rich life.

I imagine myself on my death bed thinking back on my life. What would I say? Good that I was faithful? Good that I spent 50 years with boring marital sex with an old man? No I don't think so. That would be a waste of my life. I hope that in my last days I would be able to think back and remember the young hot guys I had and say: that blond was so hot what a great time we had :)

Just an unofficial poll. I come across so few gay relationships where they are open and sharing details with their partner. Most say there is a “don’t ask, don’t tell” dynamic.

Would love to hear from the guys who make this work with the partner they love?

Open relationships where two guys can talk freely about sex is a healthy, important thing. It's also incredibly rare.

Don't ask, don't tell only works for so long.

My (newly) open marriage has similar rules as described by @liubit, we find guys separately, no bringing guys at home, tell everything, only working boys, EXCEPT that we allow to get one-off hook ups, but if we find one, then we have to use the hookup guy only once and block him immediately afterwards. In short, affairs are not allowed. So if it is for pay, as many times with the same guy as we want, if it is for free, only one-time fucks are allowed, because we don’t want a guy to fall in love with us.

Ps: while we know with who, we don’t actually discuss the what or how very much.
