Daddy reminds me he doesn't EXACTLY look like that.

His eyes aren't so blue and his hair isn't so brown (this month).

(And boy am I going to pay for THIS post! ;-))

But it's kinda-sorta like him.

I can understand that. My ass isn't always naked and spread open, like in my pics. Well, it is quite often but not always. Like you said, "Kinda sorta." :p

alanm, in response to your first post on page one, I believe Daddy ONLY got reviews up on time since MER was opened. Prior to that you never knew when or if, the reviews would be posted.

What's there to be sorry about? You were trying to be helpful and are not responsible for others seizing the opportunity to further their own agendas. But as they say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

All I can say is that my e-mails to Daddy have been responed to in the past. In fact, there was a reply to my message last night regarding this situation in my e-mail box this morning.

YEAH customer feedback(and despite what anyone says we are all customers of this site)is just a big ol' waste of time x(

And "Daddy" knows best and don't you forget it x(

Uh huh, gotcha.

There's that sense of entitlement I always bring up. Wow. You've submitted a review. GOOD JOB! Doesn't give you a right to criticize the work someoen is doing FOR YOU.

If you wanted control over the site, create your own. This would apparently be the PERFECT time to do it! Sort, Process, throw out one line or bullshit reviews that have to be verified, deal with site email, handle tech support. Then if you have time you can tweak the bugs and handle whatever drama that comes up on your message boards and of course let's not forget any legal issues attached to your future website. When you've done all this on your own time, then maybe you'll have a right to bitch.

Until then, GET OVER IT. Be grateful that someone is willing to do it for you and move on. Go outside, see the world. You have a week or so. But really, having a RIGHT to know what's up? Does it affect your lives THAT deeply? Do you notice any escorts complaining? It's my sole source of advertising now short of my blog and I haven't bitched once. On the contrary I've spent the last week blasting anyone that is being an ungrateful shit with regard to the topic. As a consumer you DESIRE consumer reports, you don't NEED them. If you NEED them that ba dthen deal with an inferior product at MER until the data from this project gets up ... and after an email this morning I assure you ... it WILL be back up.

People just have to drop that sense of entitlement they've perfected and adapt to patience.

Here's a joke:

How many ungrateful, opinionated, childish 'contributors' with a totally inappropriate sense of entitlement does it take to start up and maintain a well run escort review site?

Answer: Infinity. Then they would make the middle east look like a sandbox quarrel trying.

}He [Daddy] and I [Deej] have talked about it. Often. He can generally choose between

}spending a half-hour with the MC, or processing tomorrow's reviews. He

}has exactly a half-hour to spend. Which would you choose? You do not

}get one from column A and one from column B. One gets done, or the other.

*What He Said* ... for me also, writing email or adding comments

in a forum, is time-consuming and not easy. (English was my worst

subject in school).

Even though I haven't always agreed with Deej on every issue,

I would much rather see Daddy spending what time he has building

the new site, and I'm willing to believe that if I were to send

him a short (or at least easily read) suggestion, he'd consider it.

On a slightly different topic, I'll just say that the the apparent

self destructiveness of this subset of the gay community alluded to

above is not so unique to this forum; it's somewhat inherent in the

nature of email lists and discussion forums.

In a previous life I particpated in standards committees, and

discussions on the surface appeared just as heated, but people

had a higher regard for each other than one might have believed

from reading their emails...

F'n hilarious Rick. I hope the change is more of the Cheryl Ladd/Charlie's Angels variety than the cast changes to Designing Women (i.e. Jan Hooks as Carlene, Julia Duffy as Allyson (?) and that other girl as "BJ" Poteet) or the Mel's Diner cast changes of Belle and then Jolene replacing FLO. ;)

I have too much time on my hands

LOL!

I just had a mental flash with Daddy as Mel, Barry as Flo and Cooper as Vera.

I can hear "KISS MY GRITS!" now.

Not sure I needed that brief mental image, but it flashed by just the same. ;-)

Hey, call me weird but I loved DW after Jan Hooks & Julia Duffy arrived on the scene. Hooks is so good at playing dumb and Duffy is so good at playing cunty (gee, who would play them here at the message center? :p ) . I also really loved the character Bernice (Alice Ghostley), who was always hot for black men.

Hey, I also loved Belle and Jolene! Maybe I was just really young and liked almost everyone. Then again, I haven't really changed much. :)

Here's one...Sandy Duncan replacing Valerie Harper on her own show, Valerie. Now, that was just wrong. :o

Creation of Daddy's site??!!

How do you know MER is an "inferior product" when "daddysreview.com" isn't even up yet with content? And what ever comes up will be Daddy's reviews...sadly Hooboy's M4M is dead.

pierrot...Totally Agree. A few took "Hunt & Pecking" a long time for ME to complete! LOL

Also.. I'm sure the Working Guy's would like their Reference's back in place. I know alot of guy's, after initial Contact from Rentboy would direct the prospective CLIENT to the Review's.

The Guy's of course with many Reg's, probably aren't concerned one way or the other! LOL :p :P :p

The working guys earned those reviews. The hard way, on their knees, their backs, and goodness knows how many other positions. }(

Did anyone announce that it was SUPPOSED to be up with content? No. Somebody found a link that is a work in progress, posted it, and everyone had to get their panties in a twist. Chill. People are working.

I call it an inferior product because even though the site design is awesome etc. it can never hope to have as much content as M4M did.

>And what

>ever comes up will be Daddy's reviews...sadly Hooboy's M4M is

>dead.

Yes, Hooboy's M4M is dead. He was a friend to all of us and a wonderful man. And considering the fact that the site could not continue on under his name for apparent reasons, he would have wanted the content and concept to live on. Daddy's Reviews, Hooboy's Reviews, Bush's Reviews ... they're all reviews. They will be there. Instead of being patient though, we as a community seem to to take comfort in attacking the very people that are just trying to help us. As I said before, if you don't like what's being done than do it yourself .... but until you do you don't have a right to bitch.

Very cute Barry. Apparently according the posters I don't need to work on it since I already get special treatment. I just get really annoyed when people are ungrateful for something that is given to them free of charge and then have a sense of entitlement about it after the fact. Even if the reviews went down permanently, who are they to say they are owed something from people that are just trying to help.

Well, let's not speak for the dead. Nobody can say for sure what he would have wanted, and I don't think it matters. Even if HooBoy had wanted it all to die with him, I think what matters is that the rest of us want it back and that Daddy is willing to do the work to make that happen.

I'm sure I gave up any legal possession of the many reviews I wrote when I submitted them, but I still feel a strong proprietory interest in them, which is why I would like to know what is going to happen to them. After all, it is the reviews that made money for the site, not the MB.

Damn I'm having trouble understanding what all of the uproar in this thread is about. EVERYTHING changes and evolves!!!!! Southern California, for instance, was really a wonderfuly place to live in the 50' and 60's. It's not nearly so wonderful now but SO WHAT? I can MOVE, COMPLAIN AND MAKE MYSELF MISERABLE, or even KILL MYSELF. The one thing I cannot do is turn to clock back. The same is true of the evolution of this site. I participate in the various forums and I write reviews with some frequency BUT damn people I did NOT create this site nor do I assist in its operation. If I do not like the new site when it is up and running I can MOVE ON, COMPLAIN AND MAKE MYSELF MISERABLE, or even KILL MYSELF. The one thing I cannot do is turn to clock back. Let's move on folks
