It's probably just a time-out. I noticed once when jjkrkwood was timed out that he was gone from the Notable Members list, but reappeared once the time-out ended.

Unfortunately samhexum has taken to resurrecting ancient threads with a post that usually has one matching word, so now I have to examine the start date of a thread to avoid wasting time.

I'd still bet it's just a time-out … but remember those worries about Y2K? …

 

Would computers be able to handle the rollover from 1999 into 2000 without going *!#blooey#!* -- disrupting lives, livelihoods, whole economies?

 

Everything worked out fine then, but maybe not this time … maybe the sheer volume of posts by marylander1940 has exceeded the M4M capacity and …

Yes, you've got to admit that Marylander has good taste. How he would carefully choose some of the pics he posted related to the various themes. I can't imagine how much time it would take to post all of those pics from various sources.

I admit, I got curious about how, exactly, he was driving yinz crazy and went to look, but the first thing I bumped into was his post announcing that he was taking a hike from there. Literally:

 

"Thanks for the short membership but considering how warm it is out there I'd rather go hiking (something we all should do more often ) instead of posting on here."

He lasted 24 hours there before he realized it was full of enemies he had made here. Karma. And he went in talking about approving of snitching on escorts on Grindr and posters here. Chutzpah.

 

I have zero sympathy. Without knowing anything of my ethnic or racial makeup he called me an anti-Semite and a racist hundreds of times here for criticizing Israel (even in threads having nothing to do with Israel) and un-American for criticizing capitalism and being a democratic socialist. Oh, also a traitor for complaining that our sidewalks are so dirty and filled with homeless that it stops Europeans from wanting to come visit. Not just in comments but he would often open threads with my name in them to pick fights. Infantile.

 

It's one thing to have a grouchy old Jewish uncle at Thanksgiving you have to deal with once a year. It's totally different to have, as we described him, a neighbor's whelping little Chihuahua biting your heels for hours a day every day while you're trying to get stuff done. The humour fades fast.
