Couldn't decide which local restaurant I wanted to go to this evening or what kind of food I was in the mood for.

I eventually narrowed the options down to steak or pasta. I could have gone either way, but then I remembered the bartender at the steak house. Decision made. I went to the place with the eye candy. Steak it would be! I tell ya, this guy is quite the hunk and a real cutie. He's somewhere around 5'8" 0r 5'9"; lean, muscular upper body (hard to see the waist down behind the bar). He looks so sexy in the tight black t-shirt he was wearing. I'm thinking he's of Latino descent...tanned skin with the black hair. He has the cutest face, however what really got my harmones charged up were his black rimmed, geekish glasses. There's something about a well built, cute guy wearing glasses that's so hot to me.

I get to the restaurant, and lots of times when I go to a restaurant by myself the hostess asks if I want to sit at the bar, and tonight was no different. She asked if I would like to sit at the bar, but kind-of resenting being asked that all the time I told her I would rather have a booth. As I sat down at the booth I could have kicked myself in the ass. What have I done? There he was; around 35 feet away taking care of the customers at the bar and I chose to sit at a distant booth! Well, the steak was good. If I sat at the bar I probably would have embarrassed myself by staring at him throughout dinner. This was the most excitement I had all weekend.

Didn't you write up a shopping list at any point? That always gets MY juices flowing.

I never make up shopping lists. I'm too unorganized. However it might be a nice change. Better yet, I could make a list of everything I need to do around the house that I've putting off. However, that would end up depressing me. I'm a big procrastinator. There's always porn on the internet.

I'm damn near a total carnivore. When the choice come between steak and pasta it's a no brainer for me - STEAK. I look forward to dying, some day, in the distant future, with a piece of blood rare steak in one hand and a very nice glass of red wine in the other.

ALL airplane food on ALL airlines is rotten and that includes the food in ALL cabins - first class, business, and coach. I learned a long time ago to have my local Italian deli make up a care package for me to carry on board all my long flights. I'm facing two eleven hour flights, in the not too distant future, and I'm already deciding what to carry on board to eat.

What a good idea to have your deli make up a care package. The few times I've flown first class and a meal was offered they weren't too bad. Better than anything I'd make at home. Steak is usually my first choice. I hate it when I'm in the mood for steak and the restaurant only offers 9 oz. cuts. That's why I like the big steak houses where you can get 16 or 20 oz. cuts. Though I'm finding the 12 ouncers can be pretty filling in my old age. There are times, though, I have to have pasta which I love almost as much as steak. Steak and pasta at the same time might be a little much, though in Italy they have their pasta almost like we eat a salad before the main course.

Will you marry me?

I don't see airline food as a big deal. There is always more than enough over the course of the flight (note, my reference point is QF not US carriers), some of the food is good, some questionable. I've had some really good meals on flights. But if I don't like it, it's not as if I'm going to starve to death.

UPDATE! TONIGHT IT WAS STEAK AND BARTENDER! I decided to eat at the steakhouse tonight hoping that the bartending hunk would be working, and I wasn't disappointed. Walked in and the hostess told me it would be a 10 minute wait...…..OR I could sit at the full-service bar. (Be smart I told myself) I calmly told the hostess that I'd sit at the bar. I looked over towards the bar and there he was! I sat at the bar and over walks this cute, cute, cute well built hunk (5'9"/ 170? 180?) in black rimmed glasses; smooth, tanned skin; body hugging black t-shirt revealing a muscular torso and beautiful biceps; and tight jeans holding back an awesome ass and muscular legs. The bartending hunk would be my waiter for the night (slow down heart, act natural). He told me his name, then when he took my order he asked for my name to put on the order, and he called me by my name all night which a good bartender is supposed to do . Though, come to think about it he didn't call anyone else by name (don't read anything into it). He was a great bartender; very personable and attentive to all his customers. He did everything an exceptional bartender would do. You could tell he was a sharp young man. There was no real opportunity to talk to him, but that was okay. He was just nice to look at. By the way, I had the 16 once sirloin.

ALL RIGHT!!! Did you leave a nice tip? Did you get a gay vibe? Did he have a ring on his finger?

Now you know some of the nights he works; you can become a regular. Everyone ought to have a local (i.e. a place to hang out).

I’d love to see you flight menu for your 11 hours aboard.

I left a decent tip, but afterwards thought it could have been bigger. It's a Lone Star Restaurant. I don't know if their bar is the neighborhood bar type. I think it's more of a wait at the bar until a table opens up kind a place, but I'm sure that doesn't mean you can't come in for a drink or two. No ring. No real gay vibe, though you never know these days. He reminds me of two of my former escorts, Andrew Irons (not AJ), and Troy in Las Vegas. They were very straight acting. I wonder if he's a college student? An athlete? Is he's a student is he local or will he be going away to school this week? Hey, I'm old enough to be his grandfather.

Age doesn't matter. Next time start up a simple conversation. Ask him about school.

I'm not a drinker so I don't know but I watch the British soap opera "Coronation Street" and sometimes when a patron buys a drink and pays for it they'll say "And have one for yourself". Is that done here in the US? Might be a good opening move.

I doubt if bartenders are allowed to drink with the patrons.

When I flew over to Europe from Seattle in Delta Business, I have to say that the grilled tenderloin was pink and juicy. I was impressed. They also allow you to choose your menu 3 days before.
