Hi:

There are a number of these sites from various sources (A4A, Rentmen, etc.) that all seem to converge into the same model population. I visited and profiled myself on one through A4A and so far have paid nothing and found it to be entertaining. Colombia seems to be dense with these models which suits me since men of color and Latino guys are just up my alley. To entice and provoke, "credits" are used and my question is, how much of those credits translate to profits for the models? I was tempted to ask one of the models but I had a feeling I'd have to buy credits first but that could just be me being presumptuous. Using my CC information is a definite "no" but they offer alternatives to pay. Curious to know if any of you guys have experience with purchasing on these sites and what you used as method of payment. Still, why pay when the free ride is working. LOL!

I'm not sure if Chaturbate is amongst the sites to which you are referring, but it seems like I read that "models" on that site get 5 cents for each credit you donate. So, if 200 credits are $21 on Chaturbate, it's about a 50/50 split between "model" and owner of web site. I suspect (and I certainly don't know for sure) that a 30/70 or 50/50 split is probably close to the norm for these types of enterprises.

And, I agree that that Latinos, especially Columbians, seem to be over-represented, at least on Chaturbate - and they are some of the hottest 'Baters on the site.

Most of the sites point to flirt4free, with just the header being different depending on which site you came from.

I am not sure what the split is now, but if the model is working in one of the “studios” in Medellín or St Petersburg, they get even less of your credits, as the studio keeps another chunk of what flirt4free doesn’t keep.

Hey, thanks for the replies, I didn't know anyone replied as I did not see a notice. Yes, the comp estimates posted here sound correct; been doing some research. They claim A4A is highest paying @ 50/50. I discovered many of the models are "straight" and just claim to be bi or bi-curious. That was kind of a turn-off although my hats off to them for being able to pull the act off. I did read somewhere last week that they could make up to 100K per year if they are good but cannot say I'm ready to believe that especially since male sex workers on average do not make those kind of bucks.

Thanks again.

Best way to pay for these sites is with Bitcoin. It’s completeky anonymous and they can’t suddenly charge your credit card for a renewal. It can be a bit cumbersome, but worth it. Yes you can watch a lot of good stuff for free, but the credits are so cheap, it’s fun to send a few their way.

Agreed! and I wanted to contribute as I have enjoyed watching and it's been somewhat of a learning experience. Hats off to them for have the "balls" to put themselves out there literally and figuratively :). I looked into Bitcoin and it did seem complicated. Is that service the best when it comes to remaining anonymous? Thanks for your input.

Do you recommend any particular bitcoin provider as reliable and easy to use?

I've had extensive conversations with the models on Flirt4Free, which is the same site as the Rentmen cams and A4A as well, I believe. Most sites, like someone else mentioned, just brand themselves differently, but you're on F4F 9/10 times. Chaturbate excluded.

The international models barely make anything because they have to belong to a "studio". What you give the performers in terms of credits and tips all go to the studio first, then they take their cut for overhead, then the cut to the site, then their own profit, then the performers themselves get about 1/10 of it. Some of the more clever models find ways to get you to send them money via PayPal, Whatsapp, etc., and buy them gifts which are typically resold at a loss.

In return, some of these performers, depending on the studio, are actually provided with very very minimal living quarters and a meager meal stipend if they don't collectively make meals together as a studio.

On the flipside, I don't believe that models based in North America go through the same thing. Many are their own shop and set it up with a webcam and a steady internet connection. These models rely on the tips, Amazon wishlist purchases, and will often times find a way to do a show via Skype or some other video conference tool because even though they don't belong to a studio, emphasis on the word "belong", they still have to pay their cut to the site and so try to find ways to circumvent that. Not many of the international models do though because they are so closely watched.

It's a fascinating ecosystem. Some of the more popular models earn enough acclaim, attention and money that they try to found their own studios. It's a gig economy. You perform well, you do well. You're stingy with your performances, you're counting your pennies. The burnout rate is super high especially because the performers who don't do well start to suffer not only on the site, but in real life, because they sometimes have quotas and are working 12-14 hour days and it starts to show. "Make me cum bb" is a common phrase because they expect higher tips when they cum. And some of the newer ones will drag out a show to maximize the credits per minute to meet their quota. Some will only cum for a certain tip amount. Some will cum if you put your money where your mouse is and tip big at the get go and promise another tip when they, well, perform.

I actually read a really interesting article on the whole business and decided to try using it as a user, not a performer. If I can find it, I'll post it.

For some of these performers, it ends up being a moderate source of income, for some it's their last resort, for a few chosen ones it ends up being quite lucrative. One performer, Chris Aron, does so well that he's about ready to close on a brand new condo with a studio space for his work, and three additional bedrooms for his friends and family that need a place to stay. So it's both depressing and unfortunate but at times very empowering too.

I would say that is very accurate description of how those sites work. Also, a model told me that he needed to get to X number of credits and then he could start getting a bigger cut of what he earns. Also it seems like there are more international models starting on the site that are independent from a studio.

Seems some work from their home while others are provided a work area? DTCG82's description seems more logical to me as these models are probably low-wage earners to begin with although some of them claim to be working their way through law school and other areas of study. Very few, if any, American guys but on the foreign side it's loaded with straight guys trying to be "curious."

These are studios, like in Medellin and Saint Petersburg.

They keep part of the “tokens” you give them and give the rest to the boys.

Figured. Some of the guys in the US use their apartment. Curious to know if studios were established here in the US, would laws intervene? They seem to have no problem with this in Colombia SA. Most interesting was I spotted models doing this in Russia, guess Putin is ok with it...

Lol, yes it is a vibrator that gets triggered by loud noises. And the loud noises that are picked up are when one tips them with tokens.

So you can make them squirm by giving money.

That was an interesting discovery on my part, some of them really go "hammy" when they get a tip, I guess it gets their base of clients going but it was entertaining to watch. I think it's supposed to stimulate the prostate but I could be wrong. Apparently the best are available in Colombia.

So, the Ohmibod, the sound/tip activated vibrator, has been a point of contention. There are a lot of people that contend that it's fake and that people are just pretending.

Some performers do "ham it up" for effect, but I've played with them hands on, and whoa... they can be very intense. Once I saw this beautiful, poor little twink, essentially get ass raped by it because the way he squirmed was so delicious. He had a lot of people in his room with a LOT of credits and they did not ease up on him. He made a ton of money that day for himself and the studio but was never seen again.

If you ever see Adam Saner or Brock Cooper on the site, watch the room. They give a great show and I know it's real. They've both let me do private sessions where they give me the codes to their Ohmibods and I can control them directly. Very hot.

I saw the same thing happen to a model in Colombia, Oliver Colt. Difficult to say if the reactions were embellished but seemed real as this guy was sweating profusely. Was the same client slamming him with credits in what they call a "flood."

Honestly speaking, I used to see ads for these guys and may have clicked on one or two and thought "oh a pre-recorded porn flick..." but I was wrong, it's live. Not sure if it's for me but so far has cost me nothing and I learned something :)

i think some of the guys are really nice and will give you a good show. many are using a translation device so you need to be patient with them. Also some are toggling back and forth between both platforms flirt4free and chatturbate to maximize their earnings.

They ' go to work " and sit in cam houses for 8 hour shifts. like you and I go to work. Some not all cam from home.

Makes sense and also explains when I was in their room and with no text building to a private, they all of a sudden went private so must have been another site they were watching. I was tempted to ask if that was their only job but figured since I'm not a paying customer, better shut up.
