returning to my younger day Ptown but know it isn't the same. The gay bars aren't as active or cruising as they use to be, no one out during afternoon, oh well. Anyhow, I'm interested in maybe connecting with an escort or someone for a nice massage. Any suggestions. Also, I've been to the bars, anyone suggest the better ones to return to. thanks

Well Margo -- Have Lunch or Dinner at the LOBSTER POT ---- Commercial and Wharf Streets they have their own boats and buy right off other boats twice a day == Best Seafood you will ever have!!! Check out the Theatre Company that Performs in old City Hall (Right on Commercial - State run Reporitory Company) and the building is magnificent.

Take the Ride to Truro and see the Historic Lighthouse -- GO to the nude beach at the end of the cape and make new friends.

Go to the Crown and Anchor and hang by the Pool during the afternoon --- fair amount of young stuff in need of party money to make friends with. Go to the A-House for Happy hour or Late Night and if you don't score -- cruise the townhall square and make new friends!!!!

Last check out RM for Boston === Lots of guys love to travel to PTown over the summer

Thanks for this advice. I've been to the Crown and Anchor but not for long, maybe I should. Thanks I really haven't found anyone in Ptown looking for a generous older man, very disappointing

Many years ago went there with a friend and a lesbian couple he was chummy with. We looked like a hetero 4-some and were treated like sh!t at one of the dining places. One of our lesbians was about ready to punch out our flaming waiter. But again, was years ago. Also remember the traffic getting there sucked and it was overrun with rude, obnoxious people, kinda like Cali is. :D So it wouldn't be my choice for a getaway, even if I were visiting friends in Boston.

We stayed at a centuries old captains house B&B in Wellfleet that is haunted they said, and went for a nice bike ride down there. Also remember having my fill of lobster which was quite good, nearer to Wellfleet than Provincetown.

Plenty of guys in Boston, pay someone the ferry and hire him for a couple of hours.

Many of the 'old school' mecca cities are changing as the younger gen of gay men ignore them for larger vacation spots. There's an interesting dynamic happening.

Key West ain't what she used to be.

Ptown has definitely changed.

Fire Island Pines is still super gay, but the attitude there is overwhelmingly Manhattan.

I hear good things about Rehoboth Beach. Never been myself.

In my flaming youth, the first three were places one went to find sex, but Rehoboth was a place one went to have sex with a traveling companion. It was always much more low-key than the other three, because it was filled with gays from DC who needed discretion. But I haven't been back since before Stonewall, so I don't know what it is like now.

I have been going to Reho for years-- as a single. as part of a couple and as part of a group. The whole town is gay friendly - but does its share of str8t tourists from DC/Balt/Philly/Locals --

On thing about Reho -- Boardwalk is small (one mile) and no huge rides/etc. and what is there is geared to younger kids --- i.e. FEW obnoxious teenagers!

There are 3-4 main gay clubs -- Blue Moon/Aqua/ are the two longtimers.

There are great restaurants in town with cute shoppes. There is outlet shopping out on the Highway. Parking can be a problem but overall the town itself is low density.

Many guesthouse and rental homes - hotels are much smaller than at the Jersey or MD Shore. Check out Rehoboth.com or the gay magazine quide LETTERS FROM CAMP REHOBOTH which is a non-profit that supports AIDS care in Southern Delaware.

Rehoboth is nice, but definitely more geared towards nuclear families than gay men these days. Double L is a pretty fun leather bar, the other gay bars in town are pretty run-of-the-mill beach town bars. Poole Beach (or Poodle Beach depending on who you ask) is decent, absolutely swarming with instagays on holiday weekends tho.

IIRC, the Pines is the more upscale half of Fire Island. Hasn't it always been inhabited by Manhattanites?

It ain't cheap anywhere on Fire Island anymore. A shack is $500k+

Most of the attitude I dealt with when I've been there is from visitors or people with a share... Not the owners. The locals (and townies) are absolutely laid-back, great people.

Yeah, I figured about the prices. I'm surprised you can get anything for $500K.

I was under the impression that most of the Fire Island owners live in Manhattan during the week, as is the case in the Hamptons?

Last year enjoyed myself at Male Call. This year the dancers don't seem quite as handsome, although Mauricio Vergara has my gonads going. They're all quite athletic and professional, though, not just your run-of-the-mill strippers. Lots of great drag, too, if you like that.

Like the rest of the world, I suspect much of the cruising in Ptown is online (Grindr, scruff, etc). As someone else has suggested If you are willing to pay travel you could convince a Boston escort to travel to

Ptown, or you could catch the boat to Boston. I had a revcent meeting with JayRado in Boston and can recommend him, PM me for details. Carpe Diem is an amazing guesthouse including a clothing optional courtyard w/hot tub and beautiful spa.
