Since Canada Day falls this year on a Sunday, all the parades and fireworks will take place this evening but workers will get tomorrow off as if the holiday were on a Monday. Windsor. Ontario the Canadian city just south and across the Detroit River from Detroit often holds a Freedom Festival in conjunction with the American city to honour both July 1 and July 4.

So thanks to @Avalon for remembering us and to all our US counterparts, best wishes for 4th of July celebrations.
