I was happy to come across it. In case you've never seen it, there's a terrific documentary on Maier -- Finding Vivian Maier -- that was available on Netflix. Not sure it's still there, but, if you're interested, take a look. Fascinating character. She spent most of her life working as a nanny. Among the trivia section of his bio on IMDB, it cites: "Purchased the horses he rode in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy and Hidalgo (2004) after the films were completed."
