I hire when I travel. I can't be the only one that does this. So if you get a message from me - if you respond, and it goes somewhere. if it doesn't then it doesn't. I messaged a Brazilian provider that took two days to respond, by which point I was sitting in the lounge at Heathrow about to board a flight to somewhere else. However there was another provider who responded right away, and happen to be available, so I was able to see him. You could counter this by saying you would prefer not to see visitors which would limit your market, thats your choice

There is a lively straight scene for providers. Small population, rather than lack of interest. I would say the closest "that kind of city" would be Sydney, a 3 hour flight away. Agree on all the above. In some cases the provider might actually like you enough to throw in off the clock hours and others favors from my personal experience. I found the whole concept off of the clock confusing, i posted here to ask the group if I was handling it fairly In the end I think I handled it well, thanks to the collective wisdom of the group. I think it's a given a lot of the providers are into PNP or HnH as it's called in Britain. If you ever go to London where I tend to do most of my hiring, it's out of control . 350 is my limit. And it needs to be special. Anything more I can hire elsewhere. One of my favorites is 400 for an overnight, but it requires a fairly reasonable flight to Central America. For reference, London is still very much £200 / $250 USD. Providers in New York need to realize you are competing in the international market, Montreal is not that far away. New York is not a small town with no options.

I would agrue for the capital specifically, the increased supply has meant prices in London have largely held, despite an easy 20% increase in the cost of living. I've noticed this all throughout 2022. @Rudynate - while I do enjoy Brazilian company, I do like other flavors as well - it tends to get a bit dull don't you think when everyone is the same? . I also prefer hiring Brazilians in Brazil for the most part. I realize not everyone has that luxury.
