Concurring and adding to @KensingtonHomo, particularly if you are at a spa of cheap rates ($60-75 an hr neighborhood), masseurs will be inclined to do extras such doing the session nude, mutual touch & bjs only with a generous tip and please don’t think restaurant rules apply to this type of industry (they essentially make their money on tips) if you can’t afford to tip at least 100% of the session rate, is best to book independent masseurs who are likely to offer erotic massages for their standard fee.

I just had my first session with SmileThailand in Manhattan.  Impeccable modern hotel room, perfect lighting, music, scents.  He is a small beautiful man with a warming smile.  He handed me a fresh plush towel when I went to wash my hands, helped me undress, not that I need it, and invited me to lie down in the impeccable king size bed covered with a pristine white sheet, feet towards the headboard, face resting on a pristine -again- pillow. He offered me two different scents for the oil.  And the session began. Unquestionably, he is a  proficient Thai masseur and worked on my neck, back , shoulders, arms and glutes with diligence always checking for my feed back.  He then continued to my feet, calves and hams.  Then he asked me to turn over and the session took a blissful dimension that cannot be described with words.  Some twenty minutes of that unexpected interlude was followed by Thai massage of the arch of my feet, legs and quads and adductors.  He then sat me up and continued working on my neck and upper back until he left me floating.  I took a shower in the nice bathroom and after getting dressed he warmly  embraced me thanking him for a great session.
I took two hours @ 300.  Totally worth it.

I usually go there on Monday or Tuesday. Better to call and book in advance.

They offer a shower or hot towels after the massage. Shower is self serve. I take advantage of this as well. 

I found the massuers at Energy competitive. I wonder if massuers have their own forum and critique us.... 
I've seen the rivalry between massuers at different spas. It can be awkward when you see two of the massuers you used and have to go with one of them.

Certainly bringing up tips during the massage is a buzz kill.  Your feelings are justified.

I've scaled back on a few tips because they were lackluster. I've tipped generously when the massuer did an amazing job. Usually the next appointment is even better. I usually enjoy the following appointment because the transitions are natural and the massuer knows what I enjoy.

Only positives were good looking, sweet guy that went over the hour. Otherwise, so so skill, too much under the towel time, zero massage on flip and zero sensual.

For those of us who have been around long enough to remember the origins of this site I would love to see this forum renamed Remembering Daddy and Hooboy.  It gives some acknowledgement to the person who started it all and without him it would ever have existed in the first place.  Just my opinion.  Cheers to both these gentlemen who made it all possible.

It's funny you mentioned this. I've had a couple of escorts/masseurs over the years that say it's their birthday on the day of the appt or the day I'm setting up the appt. I usually believe them (or don't care if they're lying) but I feel like I should get them a little something. The last guy was a masseur who said his b-day was the day of the appt. I asked if he likes chocolates. No. How about alcohol? No. I asked about one other item (I don't remember what at this point). No. Well, that was enough for me. I tried... Sure, he probably just wanted extra cash over the normal tip but I'd rather give a little gift for the b-day and tip appropriately for the service itself. I mean, how much more money are you expecting to get out of me? I think I'm pretty generous as it is. haha
