I don't text with clients for the most part but it depends on the particular person too. Obviously someone I know for 10 years gets a different approach, but I don't even post my phone number in my ad. I actually prefer email interaction, since you can express yourself better and many times clients prefer to explain at lengths of what a great session would entail for them which I highly welcome because it makes my job easier and makes our encounter a lot more enjoyable in the end. Furthermore, I can attend to emails whenever I have time and don't feel pressure by unanswered texts and to top it all off, I also prefer privacy when it comes to giving out phone numbers, so it is definitely a two-way street.

An overdue update. As of last week, all three are at home, We picked up Navy twin when he returned from sailing up the East Coast last week. He had an awesome time, and his favorite part was helming the sailboat in the middle of the night during a raging storm. Just what dad likes to hear.

So much of what is said in this forum is about 'me, me, me'. We talk about the things we want to do, our sexual ideas, we talk about our political ideas (and defend them to the point of obsession). We focus on ourselves. We resent things that don't affirm us. And then we read @BasketBaller's latest recounting of the Plebe, the de Paul twin, and whatever else. I won't raise my rates even if so many others choose to do so. I dont feel the market would take that well. I feel it's a matter of affordability and I dont want to gouge clients that are already great to me. I feel a rate hike would deter many many hires and would do more harm than good.

Great points and this is exactly what I meant when I said that I don't think that M4M escorts can charge, nor should they try and charge as much as women. The myth and stigma that women don't want sex as much as men do, gives female sex workers greater leverage for higher rates, whereas gay men (stereotypically) can get laid much easier because men always want sex.
 
I said in my post that I've only raised my rates twice in 8 years, but I realized that I've actually only done it once. I would never want to raise my rates to a point where I've priced out a majority of guys out there and am only accessible to the very wealthy. I love what I do and want to be busy.

I know alot of female sex workers, and there rates are certainly higher (on average) than most men. Many of them that I have spoken to charge $500-600/hr and only do multiple hours. I don't believe the rates for male escorts will, nor should be the same. At $200-300 an hour, one can live quite comfortably, as long as they can grow and hold onto a good clientelle. I also think life is made too complicated by having clients at all different rates. I've only raised my rates twice in 8 years. I know you didn't write this @BlakeBenz , but I'm just curious, of the advice in there, which are you planning to implement? Do you have a professional photoshoot lined up? Website?

Setting aside the arrogant responses of one who clearly knows everything about the business, nobody has really answered the original question. Where will you advertise if we lose internet advertising? It is my understanding that there used to be some magazines, newspapers or something and guys used before the internet without having to spend hours in a hotel bar. That was, and still is, the question.

Maybe @BlakeBenz has enough rich clients and a price rise will make no difference to his overall income, or increase it.
I don't have any problem with class actions like this, they have helped groups of people before gain rights and grow their income.
 
I also agree with those who say that it has nothing to do with the law changes, this is pure economics calculations.
 
I myself have a budget for companionship and I will NOT, because I cannot, go over that budget.
So the most expensive escorts will loose my business, and if every single one of them is more expensive, I will save my money for when I am abroad.
