I just have this thing that I don’t send face pix out if a client request them . Im definitely not unattractive but as far as my face pix it’s just for my privacy. In the beginning I would do that , But I started to think some are just collecting to make their own personal portfolio. Some would say they don’t want to travel (incall) X-amount of miles without seeing a face pic but others have no problem doing this .Which I can see that’s valid because I would feel the same way. Sometimes I think it’s hurting my business but most times I just chalk it up . But my face pic is something I just want to hold onto for myself, family and friends. I’ve seen tons of ads where they don’t show their face just their body maybe they have the same problems with face pic request that I do maybe not .  It’s just that I feel if you want a face pic it’s really dipping into my personal life . It’s already enough that I’m naked/ half naked on these Ads also some request more and more pix (right there I know it’s Bs) . Also whenever I switch my Ad to Not available I seem to get more calls/views but when I’m available it’s  so minimal it’s kinda backwards with that. 

Knowing the face is a requirement for hire for me. But I do not really care about face pics, they can be as faked and photoshopped and outdated as any other pics. I do not hire without a brief video conference to close the deal. Not only I can see the face, but also I hear the voice and see the mannerisms.
I do not know whether or not you would be fond of the idea, but I am always attracted to profiles that offer a FaceTime call to verify pictures.

You guys make this hype about not hiring without a face pic there are tons of guys who don’t have face pix and some guys post fake pix up it’s a chance you take in this .  Some clients act like they are obligated to stay or that the escort is going to hold them hostage . I’m just trying to weed out the weirdos who want to collect pix and do tributes to my pix or just plain window shop . And even if there was a face pic up it still wouldn’t suffice for some, they want you to take a face pic stand on your head bend over backwards hold a sign up write the alphabet backwards etc etc nah not doing all of that . Too many hoops to jump through when ultimately the client had no intention of booking a session, as before I’m not going to outright send you a face pic I need a solid form of communication and even then it’s not even guaranteed that the client will book and it’s also not guaranteed that the scort will send a valid face pic . I’ve done it this way for awhile so this works for me . It’s a chance you take I’ve heard clients tell me stories about they met Scorts and how they robbed them ran off with money etc etc . It’s a risk you take I’ve even worked in the field before and it’s a risk I took getting into other peoples cars not knowing what they could do to me , where they could take me or anything . A face pic is not a guarantee I’ve had my pix stolen and posted on other sites and cities that I’m not even in. I don’t have time to watermark pix and edit pix and all that . I can say this once a client shows up without a face pic they are very pleased and satisfied and didn’t have any disappointments, I’m just saying.

Totally agree with this.  Not all of us rely on this as a sole means of earning a living and need to post a face pic on an escort site such as RM.  In the past, I've had the luxury of working in an environment with direct client interaction which has translated to many regular and loyal customers over many years.  Currently I don't and won't ever send a face pic to anyone, period.  It doesn't matter who I will lose, there will always be clients who are willing to hire, face unseen. And let's not forget, different clientele require different SOP's.  Speaking from my own experience, the clients I see surely don't want to share photos of themselves and understand the importance of mutual discretion.

Well I was kind of brutal but I started to slowly make exceptions. But I’m not doing it right out to bat ,I have to feel if the correspondence is strong enough for me to send it and if I send it and I get ghosted hey I take it with a grain of salt. But I just had some bad situations with my pix . I really want to thank you guys for giving me some feedback/pointers.😊😊 

Oh myy am I giving these kinds of vibes off to  clients??  I’m good in the front but most clients are interested in my behind,I don’t mind you grabbing it or whatever but my God seems I’ve been meeting tops lately 

I regretted the two times I hired without seeing a face pic. Both were well-reviewed providers here. Both touted their good looks on their ads and websites. The first turned out to be a lookalike of Elmer Fudd. The second, a masseur in the LA area, had the hair and face of an unattractive version of He Man. The second one also refused to close the window blinds to his massage space, exposing me to his neighbors while he blabbed endlessly about his love of art cinema. Caveat emptor.

Heh I always stay hard in condoms I just like magnums because I can be comfortable and creative. 

In my very early days of hiring I used to be willing to hire without seeing a face pic.  Unfortunately, I had to stop doing this because it always ended in disappointment for me.  I think this was mostly because I couldn't prevent myself from projecting via fantasy of what the faceless provider looked like and the cold reality when actually seeing the escort of how off I really was to the real thing.  The funny thing about it is I likely would have been ok in many of the cases if I was able to see the real thing before having to use my imagination.
Put me in the category of someone who will not hire without seeing your face.
I definitely appreciate those providers saving us both time and problems by being upfront about refusing to provide a face pic- instead of providing a fake one!

I found it helpful to never engage the same escort 2 times in a row. I fell for one and decided the best course was to see others in between appointments. Kept things in perspective. 

This is exactly how I feel about deposits. This and the rest of this topic. It’s really down to what you’re comfortable with... even though I also agree with @Benjamin_Nicholas that, you have to get past the initial level of over-discretion if you really want to next level in the business AND, weed out extra faff and questions. 
 
This is actually what makes me even more adamant to take deposits. Clients get to see my face and my privates in plain view, there should be 0 bitching and popping gums at the request for a deposit. The unbalance is unreal sometimes.
That said: in my personal life outside of escorting, I don’t meet guys without a face pic. Mainly because majority are often flakes or catfishes. I know that’s different than the reason of the OP, but I personally don’t for those reasons.
However: I do recall that at one point... not showing face pics was very common in escort ads in the early 2000s, and even NO PIC back in the days of magazine and newspaper ads. Times have changed, but it’s still worth mentioning. I know for me: I have a stack of business cards but I do not show my face on them. In that situation, it’s a little more important to be discreet for obvious reasons.

Early on in my career a mentor said the best thing I can do for my own mental state and general well being is to get used to being evaluated. "People are gonna judge you every time you get out there.  Get used to it.  Get comfortable with it.  Though it seems very personal, it's really not.  They'll won't know your inner strength and drive just by that first interaction and experience. You still get to choose to whom you show your true self; the best parts, the most important parts of yourself."
This was good advice for me thirty years ago.  It still sounds good today.

So...  You'll have sex with a perfect stranger, but a face pic is too personal?
Quite literally, you are selling yourself as the product.  Your face is a huge contingent of that sale.  While I understand not putting your face pic in your general listing, it's definitely unique to say you 'never' send a face pic before meeting a client.
My view is that you will not have as well-rounded a business as you might have without that face pic.  If you're willing to give up a decent chunk of what could be incredibly profitable repeat clients, then so be it.  That is your call.
In your initial post, you say it's very personal to give someone a face pic.  This is a personal business.  Get comfortable.

Life is too short to overthink things. There are no right or wrong answers. Go with what makes you feel good. You won’t die from jeopardizing one relationship. Just be honest with your client.

Personally I prefer the element of surprise meeting someone new. And quite often even with a pic they can look very different in real life depending on their hair situation.
Go with what works for you

I think if one is in the business of selling a fantasy which depends on a "look" or other attributes, you almost have to be transparent and share your face pic. I know some guys who are career-building professionals and where escorting is just a side hustle, they may be more reticent to share a face pic (unless they are completely comfortable and confident with their look). 
Similarly, some escorts have asked for a face pic and once they get one, it's complete radio silence... so it works both ways.  However, in my experience, most escorts do not ask for a face pic but having a visual description does help (which i always provide general stats in the first contact).
